no suprise there. if the Dubs are healthy i don't see ANYONE beating them 4 out of 7...

Yeah this is what was expected at season start. They even won the number of games everyone expected. Had to stay healthy, and they come into the playoffs at full strength. If they stay unhurt it's not even a question.

So the Kings finish with the 8th pick(pre lottery) and the Pelicans finish 10th. Hope the lottery balls don't screw the Kings out of one or both picks.

Question:

Which of the top 5 Teams in the West would the CAVS have HCA over if they met in the Finals?

Yes, only the Spurs have a realistic chance of challenging the Warriors.

I'm just curious because the Cavs, Jazz, Clippers all finished with the same record.

I'm guessing the first tiebreaker would be record against conference.

Bron is playing Kobe-esque minutes, just like Kobe was when he got on the wrong side of 30. Not saying that he'll get an Achilles tear or anything, but that's a lot of wear and tear. Man, and come to think about it, his defense has started to slip like Kobe's did as well
Love, Smith, Mo Williams, and Chris Anderson's, and then Bogut injuries really screwed up a lot of plans to cut back his minutes---- but at least he was able to rest here and there.

As the great John Steinbeck said- the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.

LeBron looks healthy and ready to go though- career highs in assists, rebounds, triple doubles. Kyrie had a great year. Love had his best year as a Cav.

the Pacers should be a good test to get things started----- id definitely would have rather played the Heat , --- but id rather of played the PAcers than the Bulls--- so- i guess it equals out a little bit.

"If we're the good version of us, we'll be better [than last year's championship team]," Griffin said. "We're more talented than we were at this time last year. We've been through more, we're more hardened and seasoned than we were at this time last year. This team lost two starters and made it to The Finals and was two games away from winning a championship two years ago, and most of these same guys are the ones who did that. So I'm no less confident. I'm more pissed off that we put ourselves in this position, because we certainly didn't need to. But damn, we're good when we put ourselves here. That's what we do."

if he can find a guy taht slips to 14th in the lotto- then it will have been worth it.

If those top 3 guys - Jackson, Fultz, Ball- all become really high level guys- itll be an unmitigated disaster.

Not worried about it at all. Things work out for a reason. I said it before, Heat had the worst record and lost out on the number one spot to the Bulls who had barely missed the playoffs. It's a deep draft, they'll get a quality player.

Pretty sure the Clippers would have the tie-breaker over the Cavs cause they swept them this season.

The Jazz split, so it gets more complicated. Different sources are saying different things.

If you go off the nba website... the tie would fall to conf record and the Cavs would win. But that procedure is for seeding, and its unclear whether it applies to the Finals.

I found one source from a few years ago saying that in the Finals it goes to your record vs the opposing conference... which would mean the Jazz would get it.

Then another source that said the first tie-breaker in the Finals HCA is actually seed... in which case the Cavs would have the tie-breaker over the Jazz and the Clips.

LeBron James finishes his (what is predominantly) his age 32 season with:

26.4 pts, 8.6 rebounds (career high), 8.7 assists (career high), 54.5% from the field, 36.3% from the 3 pt line, and a career high 13 triple doubles.

THE KING sure seems to be at the top of his game.

looking at that triple double list--- of course itsa funky stat---- but Julius Randle of all people finished tied for 7th in the league with 3 triple doubles. That just caught my eye a little bit. Former, 6th overall pickithink ....interesting.

Well the Cavs essentially play a top team in the East in the 1st round. I thought the Pacers were going to be one of the best teams, struggled throughout the season, but they are playing great ball and PG is on fire. That is scary.

This isn't a time for playing games anymore Cavs. Dig deep and bury these douchebags
