Take a QB in this draft?

Anyone else scared we won't be able to sign KC to a contract and he leaves to 49ers next year? 2nd round I wouldn't be apposed to us taking a QB like Watson if he fell that far. If the front office truly believes 1) No deal will be reached 2) They cant get someone to trade for him, then why not take a QB. Just think how many of us myself included disliked Shanny's selection of KC. Not because we didn't think he would be a good QB but because we gave up so much for RGknees so why would we need a backup QB when you should be looking for starters. Sorry if the KC topic has been like beating a dead horse but haven't been as active lately on Skins forum so don't know what has been expressed other then Dean is a genius for predicting how Moses was the best pick we have ever made.

If Kirk isnt signed to a long term deal, Bruce basically screwed the pooch. And while we shouldnt NEED to draft a QB, we will. And if we do draft a QB, I would expect at that point Kirk will ask for a trade any way.

Trades are going to happen, franchises are going to panic -- I can't see Trubisky and Watson still there at 12.
Obviously Cleveland can wait a little longer with Brock on the roster, but someone may want to leapfrog houston and Arizona may take Mitchell if somehow Cleveland doesn't

If he doesn't sign by July 15th then he has to play on the tag and wait until after the season to work out a long term deal, right??

If this scenario plays out, the team has to franchise him AGAIN, pay him an even more ridiculous amount (what like a 40-50% raise), or transition tag him at which point he can test the market. He would definitely go shopping and at least test the waters for a better situation. Does that sound right?

So...how is there not a sense of urgency to sign him LT before July 15th??

Next time put a warning - I was drinking coffee when I read that.

I think we should expect that there will be no trade and that Cousins will be elsewhere (likely SF) next season. How high or if... the Skins pick a QB will be very interesting and possibly what we talk about most after the draft. Peterman seems like a decent possibility.

I like Swag Kelly in the 5th-7th Round. I think he the potential to be a steal.

He's the classic boom or bust - reminds me so much of Johnny football - both in his abilities and his cockiness (not saying he's an alcoholic or anything like that). I think Manziel's failing is a reason a lot of teams will ignore him - and too many interceptions. Scouts say he can't throw on the run to his left - which was one of RG3's problems.
