CBSSports.com conducted a poll Monday, asking which conference was the dirtiest in college football.

By 8 p.m., the verdict was clear. The Southeastern Conference garnered 66 percent of more than 30,000 votes. No other major conference had more than 15 percent.

Totally unjustified. Sounds like a bunch of sour grapes to me.

What about North Carolina (ACC), Ohio State (Big 10), and USC (PAC 12)?

What SEC schools have been in trouble lately?

May need to add Oregon to the Pac 12 list shortly.

No surprise. Maybe we wouldn't get so much hate if everyone wasn't always chanting "SEC".

BTW, Ghost, do you like the 42,000 independent views of the VT recruiting thread? You should set something like that up on the UF board. All of the info is out there and easyto collect.

Yeah... that's fantastic. You have inspired me.

Maybe you should read this about Texas A&M rumors to the SEC. I picked out this one little paragraph that is pretty interesting.

http://tamu.scout.com/2/1086147.html

He told me that with all the media attention on the Cam Newton situation at Auburn along with the Will Lyles stuff and other things that “there are other allegations that will come out that will implicate 3-4 other SEC schools”, the SEC has shifted its attention to managing the fallout he said will likely come when these allegations hit. So instead of worrying about whether the SEC will take A&M, it appears the issue could be whether the time is right for A&M to take the SEC. So that is another strike against an immediate decision.

Come on, get real. No one is saying problems don't exist everywhere. They're saying the SEC is the worst. And if you just look at shit like oversigning, that the NCAA doesn't have the balls to go after, you can tell that the SEC is more willing to bend the rules as a whole. Unjustified my ass.

Not true, while the worst of the oversigners may be in the SEC, UGA does not oversign. The AD & Coach Richt are very serious about not doing it. I hate to say this, but I don't think UF does it either.

The fact is that many of the schools presidents, led by UGA's Michael Adams, have petitioned the SEC & NCAA for clarified & strengthened rules on oversigning just this summer.

I guess I worded that wrong. I'm sure some schools are worse than others, just like in the B10...OSU is the king of cheating, even though I'm not even sure they need to.

But if you look at how many SEC schools are waaaayyyy over the signing limit. I mean come on.

I guess all I'm really saying is if I were polled, based on what I see, who the hell else would I vote for out of the conferences? SEC seems the worst to me.

I completely agree. Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina are by far the worst in the country.

I just think that it is unfair to categorize an entire conference when not everyone is guilty.

A few years ago UGA had a prospect drive up to Athens with his whole family with the intent on commiting, when he got there the class was full & there was no longera sholarship for him. The kid, his family & his HS made a big deal about it & barred UGA coaches from their school. That school was Carver-Columbus. UGA worked hard to regain their trust (even though, they weren't necessarily at fault), and this year we signed the #1 back in the country (Isaiah Crowell), who was from Carver-Columbus.

This^ is what inspired the UGA policy of not oversigning. Georgia runs a very truthful and straight forward recruiting program. They don't use negative tactics and they don't lie about the prospects of a recruits future at UGA.

So, not every team in the SEC is winning NC's, but it's ok to categorize it as the toughest conference out there? You're in the conference and you are judged by what most of your conference does.
