No friggin way this scenario is legit..no damn way. That trade and the compensation makes zero sense for us.

well tell that to the anti KC's because anyone can run this offense even the 24 mil a year 37 yr old tony romo . and let me add we lose draft picks and still have 24 mil committed to the cap for romo so hope we draft well with our 3rd and 4th rounders and do well with 40 mil in cap space in FA

Skinsdad, you Shark and some of the others... just stop. There are no "Anti-KCs" on this board, there are fans that think that Cousins isn't worth a ridiculous amount of money (25+) on this board. Most of us think that he is an above average (not elite) QB. If you think he and his agent aren't pulling some sort of bullshit power play to maximize his $$$, then you are fooled. If we are offering him 23-24 and he ain't biting, then he needs to hit the bricks. He isn't the best QB in the league and shouldn't be paid as such.

Sorry man, getting them to stop just isn't possible. Funny thing is it's perfectly understandable if you factor in B.F.S. (Battered Fan Syndrome). This happens when any little good thing is seen as the place where they want to be. Just re-read their posts and you'll discover the truth in this. In them there are justifications such as, "it's the best that we've done in 20 years."...... "Nearly 5000 yards and records broken." and my personal favorite "Who are we going to get that's better?"

Well, just like a battered mate, those things SEEM optimistic, but in truth it's settling for decent when everything that's come before was at best, very uncomfortable or painfully inadequate. The interesting thing is that we've had a fairly recent experiment along these same lines, when we had a kicker named Kai Forbath, who also exhibited the same traits as Cousins. "Best that we've had"....."Record setter".....and when I suggested that we get rid of him because we can do better, the question...."Who are we going to get that's better."

Y'all are totally missing it Kirk is smart, athletic, accurate passer, competitive and a hard worker from all the reports I have ever heard. Therefore I think he can make it to "elite" status. We will regret it horribly if he walks

The three organizations could soon discuss a trade that would send Kirk Cousins to San Francisco, Tony Romo to Washington and draft-pick compensation (including the No. 2 overall pick in April's draft) to Dallas.

So
San Fran would get Cousins Dallas would get picks (the No. 2 overall pick) Skins would get Romo
Do you guys believe this crap. Please it's media hype.

Here's the most likely scenario

Redskins would would get some high picks KC would go to SF and we trade Dallas a lower pick and get Romo.
So let me understand,,, Dallas not only unloads an aging ol useless broken down throw-away... AND gets the number 2 pick. For the record,, this trade scenario is idiotic,,, but the one thing that scares me is that Snyder does like other teams aging stars of yesterday. I actually would have to leave this forum and never come back... the embarrassment of being a Redskin fan would be just to great to bear.

Question: Do you believe that this organization is incapable of getting someone equally or more talented, younger and with a greater upside? I don't think that we're missing it at all, but rather a lack of confidence in our organization to build a top of the line team, with top of the line players! BTW: I'm not asking for elite, just better than what so many seem to want to settle for.

The article is lame. Read what is says: "The three organizations could soon discuss blablabla". It's PURE SPECULATION based on some bad writer's opinion. There's nothing of substance there.

Well considering that in the last 25 years, the only young QB we have had that was close to Cousins ability as a QB was Jason Campbell, and that we havent seen a better QB than Cousins in more than 25 years in DC... what makes you think this team will magically find some one better within the next 25 years??

Last I checked, you werent listed on the teams talent acquisition staff. Then again if you were, they probably would have dealt Cousins to the Browns for a 7th rounder back in 2014.

Three-way Cousins-Romo trade not happening
7486.jpg

Contacted by PFT's Mike Florio, "multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation scoffed" at NFL Network's report/rumor of a three-way trade sending Tony Romo to Washington, Kirk Cousins to San Francisco, and other compensation to Dallas.

One source called the rumor "conjecture," and Florio says Ian Rapoport effectively "made up" the story. Rapoport also reported Friday that Julio Jones was having foot surgery on Monday, but he isn't. The Cowboys certainly would not want to send Romo to a division rival, and there is no reason for Dallas to be involved in any trade sending Cousins to the 49ers. Florio wrote that Rapoport "gets points for creativity and for filling a slow Friday afternoon with a little intrigue." Put simply, the three-way trade isn't happening and was so unrealistic it almost seemed concocted from an online message board.

Then your question is irrelevant. BTW: I would have been in the majority back in 2014, including you who clearly stated that bolstering our run game we could put Bobo the clown at QB and it wouldn't matter.

Yes.

Except for one thing.

Nothing in the last two seasons gives me any confidence at all that Tony Romo can start more than 5 games without missing 2 months to injury.

And that includes preseason.

It doesn't matter how bad your QB situation is...

Tony Romo does not improve anyone's quarterback position if he can't play.

True but I feel like it'd be worth a shot if you can get him for cheap. I mean the upside is pretty high and injury concerns are often overstated.
