Yankees youngster Luis Severino had quite the tutor this offseason -- none other than former Red Sox great and Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez. Severino asked Martinez for help and Martinez worked with his fellow Dominican during five sessions.

More of the same for the O's. Shouldn't have resigned Trumbo and instead used that money for a midgrade SP for this season, and shoot for a top SP next season.

I know I'm not either of them but as an O's fan, I'll give my two cents. They are going to be the same team essentially. Subbed out Wieters for Castillo, you have Smith as one of many utility outfielders and just got rid of one useless starter in Gallardo. I see them probably around 85 wins and maybe in contention for a wild card spot. I see them and the Yankees battling for 3rd place in the division.

Forgot to add that it's going to suck with Chris Tillman likely starting the season on the DL.

O's ace Tillman (shoulder) might start on DL

The next couple of years will be interesting for this team with a lot of key guys up for free agency. I'm interested in seeing who Dumpster Diving Dan targets to re-sign and who he lets walk. I have a feeling that Manny is done in Baltimore after the 2018 year though regardless. If they fall out of it at some point the next couple of years, I wouldn't be opposed to trading him (or anyone else of value) for a load of prospects since our minor league depth is really thin.
