I think we've been waiting for dline help for the last 4 years. I'm more worried about NY and Philly this year than Dallas. Its only fair regression and injury bully Texas too.

Depending on what we and the Eagles do, the NFC EAST will have gotten much more talented as a whole.
I do think you guys are going to be good, history says you'll regress at least next year.

Stop the check down and you halt the whole team. When your slot guy has his best year ever and led all the receivers by 25 more catches then you aint throwing it down the field a whole lot. Zeke the freak is gonna get his yards but Dak "I'm a one year wonder boy" will play down to his potential when you send goldilocks back to his reality of mediocre. We need a potential big time stud pass rusher and a run stuffer and will be fine. I told Dallas fans all year to enjoy their regular season but they thought I was smacking... Instead, I was only being sincere.

Dallas aint got a bad team over there but they did over-achieve. Even the most die-hard of there fan club would agree with that. They had us at 4 and 12 beginning of year with our big time first place schedule but I guess we shut them up on that. The reality is with a better defense we would have challenged them for that 1st round bye and home field throughout in the playoffs that they choked on harder than the Hillary prez run. Bottom line: They are a 500 club, is all. Not that scary. Lets see if Dak can up his game in his 2nd year as the true starter the way that our QB did.

As long as the Cowboys can keep that OL together they are going to be tough. In the past we could rely on JJ screwing up but Steven seems to have a clue.

The cowboys have had a lot of draft picks due to years and years of mediocrity, and finally hit on a few on offense. Good for them. They ARE talented on offense, especially behind that Oline, and with the blonde slot wr who is their version of wes welker.

The truth is, that any fast lb corps - Atlanta's for example - would give the cowboys fits. THAT'S what the Redskins have to do: increase their speed on defense by a ton, especially at the LB corps.

Prescott either cannot or does not throw deep very often. When he does, it's only because the mid range crap to the blonde wr (name escapes me), was effective. I agree with reptec to some degree - stop the midrange passing game, load up to stop Elliott, you stop the cowboys.

Fortunately, the cowboys have a few potential free agent headaches, and not very much cap room. According to overthecap.com, the cowboys are in the worst shape in the entire league - $12,000,000.

In that case, they can say goodbye to: both starting cb's, their starting guard, their starting SS, #2 wr, starting FS, and quite a few depth players that may be servicable.

Oh! and before any cowboy fan says, "Yeah but, when they get rid of Tony Romo, they'll save a ton of money." Think again, Brokebackers:

His base salary is $14,000,000, but the signing bonus is $5,000,000 and his restructured bonus is another 5.7. He has a dead cap of $19,000,000 this year, so (if I am not mistaken), the cowboys would go from $12,000,000 in the hole to only $2,000,000 in the green when Tony's gone.

That would be good for....30th place in the league, only $8,00,000 behind the Philadelphia Eagles!

I don't necessarily disagree with anything you say. I just don't see the Cowboys as the class of the NFC East. Its gonna take more than a good season to do that. As it stands right now and if recent history is any indication. All the Cowboys did by winning the NFC East this year. Is make it so they don't win the NFC Eastr next year.
