I don't know how this works but I believe Danny Davis is the only 4-5 star that is warmer or a favorite for us. If we get him that will be 4 4 star recruits and one 4 star transfer from Bama since they like to over recruit. There's 5 other 4 star players we offered that haven't signed but the crystal ball hasn't projected Wisconsin the winner with those players so unless we have another miracle like with double D I doubt anything happens.
Who dat?

The only way I would sign to UCLA is if I were a defensive prospect. Mora has done a great job developing both mid level and elite defensive players through his tenure in preparing him for the NFL, but his offenses have been a joke. Rosen is looking like shit half the time.
Thats why I think there may be something to the Blades rumors. From what I've read he wants to be close to home. SC may not have room. Theres actually more talk about blades than Carr from the Bruins outlets at the moment.

Christian Bell, Wisconsin, Outside Linebacker

This dude is like 21 or 22 years old but he's still considered a freshmen for us since he was recruited by Bama in 2014 then redshirted in 2015 then transferred to us in 2016 which he wasn't allowed to play and now he's finally allowed to play in his first year. He's a 4 star OLB and will compete for TJ Watt's spot. We recruited another 4 star OLB and he'll compete for Biegel's spot.

Texas just offered him 2 weeks ago today. You're telling me Herman offered him and immediately just said "ehh"?

Just preferred Pouncey. Texas wasn't going to flip Manning (which some thought would happen), Lamb (long shot), or Reagor (long shot), so new offers went out. I am sure OSU did the same. Lose a guy and new offers go out. Pouncey's interest was probably a surprise to the staff. Rarely do you come in late on a OOS guy and make progress. There were a few DE offers that went out, when Graham was rumored to be wavering. He solidified and they were never pursued hard. Late in the cycle staff's make decisions that aren't always purely talent based. Like I said the last few weeks get a bit crazy and there are a lot of conflicting stories.

After 247 gives their final rankings for the 2017 class for the Badgers they will have 4 four star recruits which ties their most ever and a composite score of 86.2 which is their highest overall score ever and is currently higher than MSU's class ranking. About 2 decades ago it was in the low 70's, a decade ago in the low 80's and now it's creeping to the high 80's.
1.) Jake Ferguson TE 94
2.) Kayden Lyles OG 92
3.) Johnathan Taylor RB 91
4.) Izayah Green-May 90

Still a long ways to go before even becoming a consistent top 20 recruiting class but if Stanford and Notre Dame can do it with having high academic standards then maybe so can the Badgers eventually.

What does it take to obtain a 5 star ranking? That guy is 99th Nationally yet he's a 4 star. Do you have to be top 50?

I believe there were 32 5 star recruits this year. I'm not positive, but it looks like the cutoff for a 5 star is a composite ranking of 98.3.

So it's normally less than one per state and majority probably come from Florida, Texas and California I assume. These guys are probably all thinking they're NFL locks coming into college. It doesn't always workout that way.

It is spread out a little more than those three. Alabama always seems to have a few. Georgia as well. It is definitely not the norm in the Midwest outside of Ohio. Michigan, Illinois and Indiana had one each this year though.

Honestly, who gives a fuck. The average star rating for the two super bowl teams is like 2.8 stars. It's way more about your teams needs than it is stars.

That is based on numbers. 5 star has roughly twice the odds of being a 1st round pick than a 4 star. Ranking don't matter on an individual, but the matter on the whole.

I might actually watch this NSD since for the first time ever since Wisconsin could be in the mix. Is this on a main TV station?

Yup, ESPNU has coverage starting at 8am going all morning into the afternoon.

For B1G fans, the BTN NSD broadcast will be from 9:00 am til 5:00 pm eastern. It will be repeated at midnight.

Winner.

It's a four-year-long chess game that restarts every year. Some years the positions you need just aren't popping off the webpage...

Some of your nobodies will become somebody and some of your stars will peter out.

We had the next Ripkowski in line (no fucking shit this kid could do it all) and he stayed half of one night on campus, then bugged out. Came back a year later and bugged out again. :noidea:

Referring to D. Wood I suppose. This is why you don't put the pussy on the pedestal. Baby mama drama galore with that kid.

Really like the J. Hall kid coming in this year for the H back spot after Flowers leaves next year. Dude Is really versatile in many aspects of the game.

IT Top 100 for 2017: 1-50 - Inside Texas

I think this is the best guy cover Texas. Here is his final top 50. Unfortunately, too many non-Texas fans will have an interest
Texas really was loaded this year with elite talent at the top. Hated losing Reagor, but man did Lamb have a monster season. 2,000 plus yards receiving and 36 TD's.
