There has been some talk about Alabama offensive tackle Cam Robinson being a better fit at guard or right tackle as a pro. Some team sources say they see Robinson as a second-round talent like the Bucs' left tackle Donovan Smith. Others say they see him as a late first-rounder who would be an ideal right tackle. One team said they had Robinson as a top-16 talent and a Russell Okung or Ryan Clady type left tackle.

A source on a fourth team, meanwhile, felt that Robinson was worthy of a top-20 pick, and that he should stay at left tackle. That area scout said that Robinson could be messed up by changing positions. They think he is smart, athletic, and strong. They compared him to the Buffalo Bills' Cordy Glenn, whom many projected to right tackle, but has proven to be a good left tackle after staying at his college position. Robinson will be a subject of debate in draft meetings, but he looks safe as a top-16 pick in a weak class of offensive tackles.

If we had that luxury yes, because it seems like an easier transition to LT. I believe thats what Miami is doing with Tunsil. There are a few LT, that i think we could convert to G this year. I'm amazed at the productive amount of DE's available. I'm also interested in Justin Evans and the talent coming out of san diego state this year

Tanoh Kpassagnon DE Not familiar with him but I am now
Jordan Willis DE I am a little bias with big 12 players but he always had some excellent pass rushing skill
Daeshon Hall DE A surprise to me he is usually inconsistent.
Carroll Phillips OLB good speed I wonder how good he is vs the run.
DeVeon Smith RB I liked this guy at the east west shrine game last weekend
O.J. Howard is the bomb with those one hand catches. He is way ahead of anybody today.
Forrest Lamp He's like Kpassagnon.

Johnson wasn't great in the one-on-ones, but he did well in the team scrimmage. He collapsed the pocket in a burst on a screen pass to get a sack of Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau. He also had a hard hit on De'Veon Smith at the line of scrimmage to snuff out a rushing play. Johnson had consistency issues in college, so it will be important for him to execute complete practices on Wednesday and Thursday.

• USC defensive tackle Stevie Tu'ikolovatu is a load as a nose tackle, and he overwhelmed a lot of the interior linemen in the one-on-ones. Tu'ikolovatu beat them with a bull rush. He didn't have other moves, but he didn't need to on many snaps. Tu'ikolovatu rolled through Baylor center Kyle Fuller on multiple reps. Tu'ikolovatu would fit best as a zero technique in a 3-4 defense.

• Ohio defensive end Tarell Basham had a nice start to the week. He did well in the one-on-ones with a bull rush through USC tackle Zach Banner. Basham also used a bull rush to beat Toledo tight end Michael Roberts. In the team scrimmage, he pushed through Bucknell's Julien Davenport to get a sack and showed some coverage on Michigan running back De'Veon Smith in the flat. It will be interesting to see if Basham can continue to improve in the full pad practices.

• Notre Dame defensive end Isaac Rochell did a nice job on day one in the pass rushing one-on-ones. He used speed to get upfield and strength on a bull rush. Rochell did well against Michigan guard Kyle Kalis.

• Western Kentucky guard/tackle Forrest Lamp had a strong start to the week, and he could be the best offensive lineman on either team. Lamp held his own at tackle in the pass-rushing one-on-ones and looked even better at guard. During the team scrimmage, Lamp had an impressive block on Texas A&M's Daeshon Hall to spring his back for good yardage. Some teams might try to get away with Lamp at tackle, but he could be more effective and a special player at guard.

The consensus top wide receiver prospect for the 2017 NFL Draft is Clemson's Mike Williams. Other wideouts like Western Michigan's Corey Davis and Washington's John Ross could factor into the discussion, but Williams is the favorite to be the first wide receiver selected. In speaking with sources at multiple teams, they do feel that Williams is worthy of a top-20 pick based on his play in 2016. They feel that Williams is a Mike Evans-type receiver who is going to be a third-down and red zone weapon. While they don't expect him to be a big separation wide receiver, they love how good he is at winning 50-50 passes, making catches for his quarterback when nobody is open.

Sources say that Williams didn't grade out as high as the Buccaneers' Mike Evans who went with the seventh-overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but they say he graded higher than Michael Floyd who was selected with the 13th-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Thus, Williams could be on the bubble of the top 10, and he looks safe as a top-20 pick.

We need a guy like that CooCookeeChoo guy. Someone that can play over the center or just offset in the 1 technique. We don't need an every down NT but a situational player. JMO anyhow.

Thanks Skindad for the info. I missed todays practice. Yesterday was the first time I watched Lamp and my first impression is a player with nasty behavior with some good power. How did he do today. From what I saw yesterday this draft has an abundance of very talented edge rushers.

• Alabama linebacker Ryan Anderson struggled in coverage a couple of times, but he's physical versus the run. Fits the mold of a Sam linebacker, plus he has pass rush.

• LSU cornerback Tre'Davious White has been the best cornerback so far in terms of talent and technique.

In the team scrimmage, Anzalone had two good run fills to stuff backs for no gains. He showed more athleticism to stay close to tight ends and backs in the one-on-ones. Anzalone used power to bull through North Carolina State running back Matt Dayes on a rush up the middle. If Anzalone can stay healthy, he could be a mid-round steal.

Auburn's Montravius Adams had another good practice. He used speed and strength to get wins in the one-on-ones. In college, there were times where Adams looked like a first-round talent, but struggled with consistency and motor. After two good practices though, Adams (6-3, 308) could be improving his draft standing from a mid-rounder to a second-day pick with his strong Senior Bowl.

• Alabama defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson was impressive on Wednesday in the pass rushing one-on-ones. Tomlinson obviously has been well coached and has put more development in his technique than other prospects. He got the better of Miami's Danny Isidora, using quick, violent hands to shed the block and race to the marker. Tomlinson had other wins with bull rushes getting his hands inside the chest of blockers. He is a rock-solid nose tackle who could figure into a rotation quickly in the NFL.

• Villanova defensive lineman Tanoh Kpassagnon is physical specimen at 6-foot-6, 280 pounds. He is a raw football player, but Kpassagnon has a lot of potential. He used his strength and quickness to get some wins in the one-on-ones. The best win coming against Kentucky center Jon Toth, as Kpassagnon used a rip move and speed to fire down the pocket. Kpassagnon needs a lot of work on his technique for the NFL, and his best fit might come as a five-technique defensive end in a 3-4 defense.

• Last year, Clemson's D.J. Reader had an excellent Senior Bowl, and this year, Carlos Watkins is trying to continue the tradition for Tigers defensive tackles. Watkins had a good day on Wednesday, beating Toth on a swim move, using speed for another win, and then getting a sack in the team scrimmage. Watkins (6-3, 312) has some versatility and could end up being a third-round pick.
  
  

• UCLA defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes (6-3, 320) looks sloppy as an athlete, but he has been effective at the point of attack in both practices. Vanderdoes is very good at holding his gap and stuffing rushing lanes on the interior. In the pass-rushing one-on-ones, he had a nice practice with a bull rush to collapse the pocket. He had an impressive win over Tennessee State's Jessamen Dunker, bull rushing his way to the marker. Vanderdoes has heavy hands with a strong base. He could be a nice mid-round pick as a nose tackle.
