Correct. DE looks decent for us. Ziggy getting healthy. Hyder and Bryant getting better. Taylor may not stick. He fizzled out this year somewhat.

Two of the bright spots this season imo.

You're prolly right that they both are DEs, mostly. But I think they could both be counted on situationally all over the line.

Zettle got asked to do a lot of outside contain at the end of the season. And honestly, I thought he handled it pretty well. Rodgers got away a couple times, but what can you do... (For a UDFA and a 6th rounder they're panning out real well.)

I have to disagree... William Clay Ford and some other investors bought the Lions on November 22, 1963 (the same day John F. Kennedy was assassinated). And the Ford family hasn't done anything since WCF became sole owner in 1964. The only Lion to be at a Super Bowl was during Kate Perry's half time show in 2015.

Might as well keep that Bryant guy we got from Cleveland. Need a pass rusher from the DT position. Dude should be kept on the cheap.

Bryant is more a DE. I mentioned him already. Might have been the other thread. There are a few FAs that would be perfect fits. Calais Campbell, but he may be too expensive. Dont be surprised if we snatch up Sheard from the Pats once the season is over, he is much cheaper. Those guys would be good compliments to Robinson.

We were the 6th best team and 5th best under Mayhew. Never on the cusp.

Rob, I fear even with a improving roster, Caldwell is not your man. His in game decision making is terrible at times. They lost the Titan game because he is to damn conservative. Their lack of scoring in the second half down the stretch should raise a red flag.

I still feel Caldwell is nothing more than a Marv Lewis or Jeff Fisher as a HC.

There's two ways to look at the "improving roster". Does it mean BQ did that good at his first draft, or was the roster so void of talent from Mayhew?

BQ has another draft with late round talent contributing, I will then feel he is on the cusp with a bad HC.

Figuring ZZ was our RB down the stretch (he scares nobody), I'd say they get a pass. I'm very excited to see how he addresses our run game this off season.

Both. BQ is improving a shitty roster left behind by Mayhew after years of being the worst GM in the NFL.
