It's football, and anyone trying to reduce the amount of CFB games can kiss my white ass.
So I guess you're glued to the TV set watching Central Michigan and Tulsa right now.
I don't think the NCAA will ever deny a new Bowl.
If it's economically viable for a Bowl, then so be it.
It may get to the point where there is no minimum number of wins to even go to a bowl.
And that's ok.
One and done are one of the reasons the NBA is a garbage watered down league. The NBA is absolute fucking garbage compared to the 80s-90s.You tell me with a straight face that one and done's are okay in college basketball and in the same breath wave your finger at a guy for skipping a bowl game.
How about all the guys who come out as Juniors? If we're using the same logic is that not TEN TIMES more deplorable
It is playing in the background, yes.

It's not agents, but for sure social media has helped to create this bullshit.I can dig that. All I'm saying is look at what college football has become and look at what they teach these kids. Cash is king. When you look back there were fewer bowls in the past and not sure about the rules for agents talking to players back then either.
Unfortunately, other teammates are thinking the same thing and are mostly playing to enhance their draft stock. Other are going through the motions to not get hurt.
It's a business and that's all on the NFL teams out there that preach it everyday. "It's not personal.. this is a business."
But I blame agents for getting in these players' ears more than anything.
A lot of people question Jordan being the GOAT based on this... That and there were expansion teams which watered it down.

Looks like 2014 was a big year for new bowl games. This also shows there are 10 more "Proposed" Bowl Games on the books including one in Ireland and one in Dubai!Just heard this in 1996-97 there were 18 bowl games. Today there are 40. That is the reason that bowls have lost a lot of their luster.
Bowl games matter a lot. I hoard as many vacation days for the end of the year as I can simply so I can drink beer and watch bowl games. I don't care if it's the Jimmy Dean Labrador Tomahawk Harmonica Bowl, it's college football and that's the greatest gift of the season.
