I wish!Call in sick, eat Turkey and watch the Skins. Tell the boss I said it was ok.![]()
I go to my wife's families house. She's one of 10 and it's always a show. But we eat around 3, plenty of time before the game. It's no problem when the Boys play another team, I will watch but also keep up with the party. But when it's the Redskins, well that's different. I can't watch my team play the Cowboys in a crowded room with kids and dogs running in front of the TV surrounded by "sports fans" who don't know what they are talking about but pretend they do.
So we have agreed to watch the first half, then we'll travel home in the cone of silence and watch the 2nd half on DVR.
Never had any luck smoking a turkey and I smoke a lot of meat. However, I have fried a turkey on many occasions........nothing better.I figured it was a given, if you arent grazing from the moment the bird is carved, until you fall into a turkey induced coma... you arent doing it right to begin with.
For the crew in my house, its just another game day. Meat comes out of the Smoker 30 minutes before Kick off, we are just substituting Turkey for the usual Smoked beef or Lamb... and we might have all three.![]()
OK, Cali wins. When should we show up....dont want to miss the bloody mary's!For the poll tho, if I wasn't working...Bloody Mary's for breakfast then apps starting at 10 (blue crab dip and baby crab cakes part of the mix with champagne) and Turkey around 2-3 before the game.
