Quarter of the season

This has been an interesting start to the season. I'm not sure how we are at 2-2, even more shockingly, I think we should be 3-1 after the gift we gave Dallas (KC can't make that interception in that situation). What do we know? Do we know anything?

I honestly don't know a damn thing about this team except we have some good players, we are undisciplined, and we can't tackle. We should be 3-1, and I don't think any of us think we are playing good football.

KC is playing poorly despite good stats. He is indecisive and that tells me he doesn't trust himself. Whether that means he can't put a bad play behind him or just isn't doing his homework, I don't know.

Our running game is interesting. I don't think Matt Jones has good vision but I liked what I saw with Spencer Long at center.

We need to improve on the front 7. I don't know if the problem is the DL or the LBs...wait, I know it is the LBs and to an extent the DL. You can't run a defense without LBs that can't tackle.

I like our corners.

I agree that Dallas game could come back to haunt us. I also had us at 3-1

I don't know how you thought we'd be 3-1 after four games. That means you either thought the redskins would win at Giants stadium, where they haven't won in forever, or beat pittsburgh. I though the redskins would beat dallas and the browns, and go 2-2.

So far, this team seems to have had some luck. They could have been 3-1, but they also could have been 0-4, if their defense didn't bail them out in back-to-back weeks.

Joe Barry remains a terrible coach, and I'm not really sold on McVay either. I also think that GMSM's thinking about drafting depth players was an incredibly poor decision. This is a team that needs a front seven overhaul on defense, and could really use another stud olineman too. Why he drafted Doctson in the first round is a complete mystery.

I don't see the harm in giving Pot Roast another call. Anybody. There have GOT to be big, older, NT's that are available free agents that can do something - ANYTHING - to clog up the middle of the defense. I know the Browns are pretty good at rushing the ball, but today's game was flat out ridiculous.

The redskins need new MLB's, several bigtime dlinemen, and a rb that doesn't fucking stutter step before moving up field. They could also use some more pass rush.

And for god's sake, do the tackling drill this week!

I had us at 2-2 because of coaching and an a bunch of well overrated players, especially along both lines where games are won and lost.

I only had them losing to Pitt. I thought we would of beaten Dallas with Dak. I also thought we had the much better offense and gave us a win @NY. That Dallas game might come and bite us in the ass at the end.

I agree Barry is a terrible coach never brings pressure where its warranted. Mcvay is hot and cold. We drafted Doctson b/c we are going to lose Jackson and Garcon next year to FA. I liked that pick it was smart. Its too bad he is having injury problems to start off his career.

The run defense is in shambles but we are not tackling well at all. I saw the Ion man in there today and he got blasted off the ball. Yes we should consider Pot Roast. Lets hope its gets better. Cutting Paea to keep Lanier didn't make sense what so ever.

3-1 was a reasonable projection, especially with Dak at QB.

We were much closer to being 3-1 than we were 1-3 or worse.

Does anybody really understand how rush defense works? You can't blame the DL when the ILBs are filling the wrong holes and missing tackles when they get the right one. I'm not saying our DL is good but it is hard to judge how bad.

I agree we need to improve the ILBs, at least a playmaking interior lineman, and it is hard to criticize Jones today. As for pass rush, we need to get an interior lineman that can get to the QB...we are fine otherwise.
