Tom Herman is the hottest name in coaching right now, and a number of schools are likely salivating at the prospects of gaining his services.

Who do you think is the current leader in the clubhouse?

What's with him kissing is players on the cheek? That's a little :exes:

If he comes to OU and brings us #8 he can give our players handys on the sideline for all I care.

Still think its Oklahoma. Those who think he stays at Houston are very confused about how this whole thing works. Houston is on the rise but w/o Tom, they're still a blip on the non-P5 conference radar. Herman stands to make a lot of money and have a much easier time recruiting top athletes at Oklahoma, Texas, or potentially LSU.

I really think OU dumps Stoops if they know they can bring Herman to Norman. And despite his past transgressions, Bobby Petrino is a guy to watch. Bobby would've given anything to be interviewed by Auburn a few years ago and he's a hell of a recruiter.

You obviously don't know our spineless administration.

Houston very well may be a member of the Big 12 very soon. That means he would be in the center of one of the hottest recruiting beds in the entire country and in a P5 conference. He wouldn't have to go more than 100 miles from his house and land Top 15 recruiting classes year in and year out.

Also, he is building the Houston program from the ground up. He would be an absolute legend there of the likes of which that program has never seen. And when Houston gets into the Big 12, they'll be able to spend the money with the big boys to keep him at Houston. Tom Herman is in line for a massive salary bonus if Houston joins the Big 12

Money talks and I don't care what conference Houston joins, they'll never have the money schools like Texas & OU have.

If Houston joins the Big 12, Herman's contract already stipulates he would be paid $5.5 million per year. That would be #4 in the country behind only Saban, Meyer, and Harbaugh.

No way. We still have a long way to go, but we're much better than the last two years.

I'm aware. OU could pay him what Nick Saban makes. That's probably what it would take too.

Theres more of a chance SC drops Helton regardless of what anyone says. And Herman is from California closer to home. The question is if Helton is fired does USC actually try to go outside the box. If they do I think SC has a slight edge over UCLA.I think Herman goes closer to home

Im not so sure about that the right coach makes a big difference. Carol had success. They have the talent and always recruit well. The sanctions are finally over. They have an AD with a winning history and a ton of credentials in Swann.A coach is the piece they lack. With USC's talent and recruiting.Combined with the output Herman gets out of his players. Its a perfect fit imo.
