Fuck the closer role. We got a bad ass pen. Pitch the right pitcher at the right time.
I like that they let Bush pitch 2 innings the other night since he was obviously pitching well and no reason to burn another arm

Possibly Mazara.
plus, this is the closest chance Cleveland has had to the dance in a long time, and the Rangers just reminded them of how far they still have to go.
That's a good question. I've never really heard anything about whether Dyson loves the closer role or whether he feels more comfortable as a set-up man or whether he cares either way. Not to say that what he wants would be the deciding factor, just a point of curiosity.Hypothetical I just read on Reddit:
Does Jeffress make more sense as the closer, with Dyson going back to the 8th?
I agree. JD did the right thing to walk away. He could not give up what he did to get Hamels and Diekman last year again this year. This is where I've been looking to get that extra starting depth we need, the price just way to high for starting pitching
they're pissed at Lucroy. Lucroy's a Ranger now. they're pissed at us.

A monster lineup for sure. Whose the odd man out when Choo returns besides Gallo who will be out for sure. Profar? Moreland?
Holaday and Wilson DFAed.
Don't see it, pretty equal offensively and Mazara has a clear defensive advantage
Holaday and Wilson DFAed.
I sincerely believe that winning our FIRST WS is so paramount, JD is going all in for all the right reasons. Had we beat the fucking Cardinals like we should have, a lot of moves over the past 2 years might not seem nearly as imperative or important as they do now.
Getting that 1st one is so hard and oh so important.
Holaday and Wilson DFAed.
Well if it comes down to playing Profar or Mazara in LF, who do you prefer?
And many griped about losing Beavan which I could never understand the love for that guy.Every year after we made trades we hated to give up the players. I remember that we were going to hate losing Olt. Then we were going to hate facing Smoak and whoever that shit was that on draft day said he could do better than all our current pitchers. Jury is still out on the haul we gave to PHL, though that one kid got over on us pretty good earlier this year.
Figure that for every 10 "cant miss" prospects, less than 1 actually turn out to be legit stars.
We don't need 3 catchers. Why Holaday? I get Wilson, and I wish him well.

Then he needs to get his fat a$$ on a plane now to start contributing. It’s worth noting, too, that Beltran has been nothing less than a monster in the postseason. Over his 223 plate appearances, he owns a robust .332/.441/.674 slash with 16 home runs. And Beltran is obviously a highly respected veteran who’d add to any clubhouse, increasing his appeal to teams with designs on a deep run.
