Jim Johnson, Derek Norris, Kurt Suzuki... the goal of trading is to make your team better, not worse. Johnson is awful.

And if you read the clowns commenting on the above, they think the Rangers are desperate. They just don't know how JD operates....well no one really does.

Only BP guy really worth replacing are Alvarez and/or Claudio so upgrade there would be plausible but not overly necessary

Starting pitching is counting on the return of at least one of Lewis or Holland, to pair with Hamels, Darvish, Perez, Harrell and/or Griffin

I think they might really be banking on Harrell to stem the tide till at least one of those guys are healthy, preferably both

Suzuki isn't sexy but he's light years better offensively than Wilson, and a better overall hitter than Chirinos, just lacks power

Certainly a much better 2ndary option over Lucroy than Norris.

Agreed, he puts the ball in play with good results, has doubles power, throws out runners at about a league average rate

He's currently on his 5th team since 2013 and in that time frame has an ERA of 5.23. I'd say that's pretty awful.

Well, the Bruce deal still has some kinks to be worked out it appears:

1:13pm: Rosenthal tweets that the medical issue is not with Bruce or with Nimmo. The Reds and Mets are trying to restructure the trade at the moment, he adds.
