Series Thread: Rangers to prey on Twins at Target Field

Normally I am not into any of the promotional/out of the box sporting events but I find this MLB game being played at Fort Bragg a rather cool thing to do.

This series sucked..... At least we didn't lose ground in the standings tho.

Don't worry NC. The Stros are running out of gas too. They could not hit Quintana who I believe has not won a game in a month. Now they play the Ms

7 games left until the AS break, the best teams in baseball, the Cubs and Rangers both showing that teams may be starting to get a little weary the closer it gets. Players can use the break to get a few days off and regroup and hopefully we get some guys back healthy too.

Plus the break allows managers to reset the rotation. So we can start out with our best pitchers.

Who sets up the threads? Have an ASB thread to talk trade, HR derby (kiddos like that) etc. We can even talk about if we were caught with classified information on our computers we would most likely be locked in a cell with a pail for a toilet, while Hitlery goes to the WH.

Did anyone wonder why Chirinos PR for Moreland and then later on in the 9th Rua PR for Chirinos? I wonder why Rua didn't PR to begin with and maybe he could have scored on the bases loaded double. I was at the airport at the time so I couldn't follow it too closely.

Because Mitch PH for a catcher and it was an easy swap. No sense in burning Rua in the 7th inning to run. Yeah Rua likely would have scored on the double, but unless you do a double switch he has to come out of the game and you lose that RH bat later if you need it.

yeah Moreland PH for Wilson, so Chirinos ran for him with his strained calf and then would catch, and another move didnt have to be made. I guess he just didnt want to use up another bench player in case he needed Rua later. I did think Rua probably would have scored there though

I didn't watch a second of the game, but looking at the box score and reading some recap it became clear what happened there.
