Actually Williams, lavou, Litch, and Scherff were all guaranteed. Since Moses prospered in camp he got the RT job and kicked Scherff to RG. The drafting of Kojo meant something.

Litch was coming back from injury. Kojo was a 4th round ( read as developmental) player. But you keep telling yourself that it was the awesomeness of Moses and not the fact that Long is no better than a backup that allowed Moses to start. Because trust me if Long were seen as a starter, there is ZERO reason to hang onto Lavaou and his shitty contract at present.

Not sainthood but serviceable. Im not saying Moses is the best RT in the league. He allowed Scehrff who was struggling at RT to kick inside. With that happening it formed a good right side of the line for us. If Moses failed in training camp we would have been worst off on the right side of the oline and maybe KC doesn't have the year he had.

Its just another example how another poster on here doesn't understand what he brought to the team last year.

that's right with Moses excelling in training camp Longs play meant nothing last year b/c LT,LG, and Center positions were already set.

I call bullshit. If RG3 with his penchant for holding onto the ball too long had started, Moses would have been exposed for the average RT he is. Cousins makes the entire line look better. Go back and look at last years games and find out how many hits Cousins took because Moses got beat. Find out how many sacks Cousins avoided because he SAW that Moses got beat and got rid of the ball. Moses is average AT BEST. He is the tanned version of Doug Free.

I just explained it. he solidified the right side of the oline. If he failed in TC we would have been worst on the right side this year.

Scherff having the ability to play inside ALLOWED Moses to start. Otherwise Moses would have been benched at best, or god forbid cut.

Geez you would think the 5th overall pick would have that ability. Yeah right, I already said the right side would have been worst if Moses didn't produce in TC.

The way you pump him up. you would think Moses would allow us to run a 8 WR set, Because let you tell it, all we need is a center and Moses on the line and we would never give up a sack right??

Point is, Moses ISNT capable of sliding inside,or playing LT. And he needed an elite talent next to him just to look average.

Only in your world dude, Kevin asked if you would trade Moses straight up for Scherff.

I will be more blunt. If we had to replace one of them, who do you honestly think we would keep Moses or Scherff?

the thing is i am happy moses is an avg RT . we dont need great but the staff said why they made the move but dean has his blinders on .

i totally believe that sherf would have been the equal or better then moses and long not being able to handle RG is the factor

you also forget no one thought moses would be ready physically either

This is the winning point. Had Scherff not had the ability to move inside, who would have been the RT?

He probably believes we would have started Moses and Long since he honestly believes Scherff was moved inside based on the Mutant abilities of Morgan Moses. Hell he thought Scherff shouldnt have even been drafted after all.

And failed the whole team so Long would of had to start at RG and Sherff would have had to deal with speed rushers. That would of been a bad situation for this team. But as you guys put it Moses is just another player. lol

I answered Kevin. scherff is a better OG than RT. How many times do I have to say it.

No blinders. Just saying the oline would of been a lot different if Moses had failed in TC. I believe Long and Scherff would have been exposed at RG and RT for the year.

Doesnt answer the question. Especially since we havent seen Scherff play OT at this level. But its a nice dodge in any case.
