If Sid ran for mayor of Pittsburgh, he would beat Peduto (or anyone) by a landslide. I would for sure vote for Sid even if I disagreed with him on every issue. With Sid I know that he has extensive leadership skills. He knows how to get people to rally around him. He's what this country needs right now. I would also vote for Sid as President, don't care if he was born in Canada (so was Ted Cruz).

Sid's mic went out at the parade, so no one could hear anything he said, but everyone cheered anyways. Now that's what you call power.

When I used to post on ESPN, there was this dude named MadDog, who was a hardcore Sid homer. Him & I got an argument where he said Sid is gonna be greater than Mario, and I told him he wasn't a true Pens fan if he thought that (he wasn't, he even admitted that he only rooted for Sid). Looking back, he might be proven right. Don't get me wrong, Mario will always be considered the greatest Penguin ever (we could never thank him enough for what he has done for us), but Sid might actually be regarded as a greater player when it's all said & done, especially if he could deliver a 3rd Cup.

I have a friend that's a Red Wing fan, and I was surprised how much I was able to PWN him when we got into an argument about who was better between Steve Yzerman & Sid. Think about that for a second, Stevie Y is a HOFer who played 22 seasons, and never in his career did he have the stature of Sid. 1 more Cup and my friend admitted that Sid will be regarded as a greater player, and he HATES Sid for not shaking Nicklas Lidstrom's hand after the 2009 SCF (I told him to get over it, Sid was injured that game, and he had bigger things on his mind).

Anyways, if he could get him to admit that Sid would be regarded as a greater player than Stevie Y if he wins another Cup, I think Mario's legacy as the greatest Penguin player (not confused with Penguin period) might be in trouble also. I don't think Mario would mind that one bit to tell you the truth. Sid's legacy adds to Mario's legacy as an owner.

BTW, Mario should be regarded as the greatest owner in the history of the NHL. If you look what he took in 1999 and see where it is now, that's nothing short of miraculous. Unfathomable how he was able to pull that off. AMAZING!

It really surprises me how many people still go to ESPN for their hockey coverage (even on HFB). I honestly didn't even realize that ESPN still has hockey coverage.
I dont know if they get many people who go there to get info but I went only for their Power Rankings because I enjoyed seeing people cry about it EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK! Its unreal how butt hurt some fans get over a fake ranking. I also enjoyed how ESPN screwed those ranking up bad every week.

In fairness, they did lose the first 4 games under Mike Sullivan when they made that ranking. Not saying that gives them any credibility, but I too was very disappointed after the 1st 4 games under Sully.

This was the turning point of the season IMO...
Until then, we were 0-2 against the Blue Jackets, which sort of made me feel like we really were the worst team in the league. Also, it was Matt Murray's first career win.

I actually used The Score app because I like how they post a lot of gifs and clips but their NHL coverage isn't very good. Still better than ESPN however.
I love love love the NHL app, especially with the new upgraded NHL TV, I would recommend it to any fan of the NHL.

Absolutely they were bad but no way were they last place bad. Its unreal to think about that team pulling a complete 180 mid season like that and doing what they did. Curious if many other teams have done anything similar? Not just a team that got hot during the playoffs. Some were saying the Pens were just the "hot" team when they beat the Caps but they were kicking ass since January.

It was fun watching the Capitals, Rangers, & Islanders all starting to meltdown by season's end, that's when I first started believing that the Pens could go far in the playoffs this year.

$159.99 per year.

You could make 8 payments of $19.99 a month also.
Wow its totally different than what it was a few years ago. I will have to look into it to see if Time Warner has a deal with them to make sure I could watch the games. Believe it or not, I couldn't watch any NBCS streams because Time Warner wouldn't allow it.

Thanks for the info Doob! I may have to go for it next year and taper away from listening to the Pens radio feed during the regular season like usual.

You could actually listen to the Pens radio broadcast with the NHL app also. You could listen to the radio feeds of any team actually.
