Then we differ quite a bit. I give the edge to SEC in every game except the Ohio State/Ole Miss game. While both teams underachieved last year IMO, Ole Miss underachieved more.

Underachieve is just a nicer way of saying overrated.

Let's start with LSU vs Michigan. Now I am not saying like games is the tell all but we can start there. Michigan went to Florida and absolutely destroyed the Gators but LSU had the Gators in Baton Rouge and almost lost to them plus LSU lost to that fat idiot from Arkansas in Baton Rouge.

I'm not saying I would, but even if you conceded the top 3 teams in the B1G East are better than the top 3 teams in the SEC West the rest of B1G East is absolute garbage.

There's absolutely no question the SEC West was the better division in 2015. If I had to project ahead, I'd say the SEC West will be better than the B1G East again.

I would say Rutgers and Maryland greatly improved their coaching staff.

They did, but they still have no talent to deal with. Rutgers and MD are awful.

It's the SEC West at #1 but that could very quickly change.

Alabama still is and should continue to be considered the best team in the country until proven otherwise.
Miss St. lost a ton and could easily miss a bowl game this year.
Auburn seems to be regressing.
LSU still can't figure out how to make a QB work and has been good but not great for the last few years.
Ole Miss may be getting the hammer from the NCAA very soon.
Arkansas is perpetually a decent but not good team.
The wheels are coming off fast at A&M.

They're still the best division, but the Big East is making a push, moreso than any other division.

Disagree. I think both were underrated. Both had several "clunker" performances that were way below their talent levels. Even though they won some of those clunkers, they were still ugly performances. IMO both should have been in the CFP but didn't earn the spots because of said clunkers.

I ain't drinking the Michigan cool aid yet. Florida's wasn't any good. Played over their head in a few games but still not very good. And your Bucknuts just destroyed the angry weasels.

I agree "like games" isn't the tell all, but let's look at some of those since you used it with LSU/Florida. The Sparty/TSUN and Sparty/tOSU games were very, very close...long with a very close CCG of Sparty/Iowa. Those were the four top teams in the B1G. And Bama just destroyed the one that represented those four. Bama's only similar routs in conference were Georgia and Miss State.

I'm not sure how MSU loss transfers on to Michigan.

Michigan lost to:

#17 Utah (JH first game as UM head coach)
#6 MSU on a fluke play
#4 Ohio State

Biggest wins were:

#23 Northwestern
#25 Florida

LSU lost to:

#1 Alabama
#10 Ole Miss
Unranked Arkansas

Only big win was # 25 Florida.

I was surprised to see that the Big 10 East has 7 votes so far...then I looked at who voted for it, and became less surprised.

It appears you put more stock in poll rankings than I do. After the CFP picks their four, the rest is more of a popularity/beauty contest IMO.

I mean, matching up divisions like this has so many variables. Are we talking last year's teams or this upcoming year? If we played Penn State early in the year when we lost to Texas Tech and Toledo then they probably would have won but if we played them later when we won 6 of our last 7 then we probably would have. I think scheme-wise we match up well against most B1G teams since we're good at stopping the run but terrible against the pass.

Well if we all just voted for what you think, what would be the point in even having the thread/discussion?

People are entitled to their opinion. It can be wrong but everyone can have one. SEC West has been the best division for a while now.
