Meyer loses points for having a stacked team last season and didn't even make the playoffs.
Does Saban lose points the years he did not win the NC since he has had the top class for 6 years running? Or for losing to teams like Ole Miss?

Of course. Why wouldn't he? (Other than you're unreasonable about this?)

Well, if he had won those games he would be seen as even better than he is now. So...yes?

They were claiming Saban was unhappy and about to leave Alabama right before last season.

The way I see things is - Fox is trying to compete desperately with ESPN so they are trying to appease fan bases of bigger markets and as a result they end up saying stupid shit.

Which is on top of the stupid shit they all say automatically.

Eventually Saban will retire, or Alabama will decline and they'll forever talk about how they called it.

Yea, a lot of people are saying Saban's over the hill. Loser probably won't win but one more National Championship. Two at the most. Definitely not more than three.

After what happened against Michigan State, Urban Meyer isn't even in the top 10.

"I think Georgia will handle them" "This will drive the people in Alabama crazy, but maybe 8-4". :pound:

"Drive people crazy"...that's funny. More like laugh at your stupid god damn ass. :L

Outside of my own team, Alabama is the most fun team to watch. That defense and overall amount of talent...just crazy.

I think Cowherd wishes he was Saban. Or Meyer for that matter. He has the mentality of a child who thinks if he closes his eyes and covers his ears then reality ceases to exist.

Also, why does Cowherd have his guests sit on a couch across from his desk? Is it his casting couch?

Cowherd is very smart. His bottom line is the most important thing and saying really dumb shit like comparing Urban Meyer to Nick Saban gets people talking and tuning in.

Might I point out one as an ongoing dynasty. The other will never achieve that.
That ongoing dynasty would have been even better if not for that head to head loss.

Yeah, that loss when Urban faked a heart attack, quit the SEC and stabbed his team in the back was a hoot.
Oh no I was taking about the first ever college football playoffs where Urban was all healthy and stuff and sent Saban home wondering how he could lose with all of those #1 recruiting classes.

But it's still no competition vs no dynasty at all.

Winning the first was cool and all but, if I had to pick, I'll take winning the last one all day long.

There's a new last one every year. Only one first. But Alabama will always be part of that first trivia, which is cool.
