You would be very surprised to know that for most of July and August it is extremely hot and humid ala Fla however without the costal sea breezes
Montreal is an extremely humid city as it is on an island in the middle of The Powerful St Lawrence River

It's just the hot sticky stuff is short lived

Joe can prob relate as Montreal and Chicago both have major summer heat and brutal cold humid Winters

Wow, I would not have guessed your 'summer' to be like that. Here summer is often 6 months of the yr.
As for being on the coast vs inland, yes I am on the central east coast (20 miles from the space center) - but I have to tell you, when its 100 degrees and 98% humidity a hot breeze doesn't help much. .... although the AC in my house makes it all good !!!
