Hamels supposed to miss just 1 turn in the rotation. Same issue that happened to him when he came to the Rangers last year and missed just 1 start then as well.

Ramos is probably going to tax the bullpen. His longest outing this year in AAA in 4.1 innings. He isn't on the 40 man either. I doubt we can send him back down without exposing him to waivers so he may become our long man.

I suspected there was going to be a lot of juggling/roster moves throughout this season. But due to circumstances, it seems it's starting sooner than I'd hoped.

It will be interesting to see what our 40 man looks like in mid June.

well you lasted about as long as you possibly could here didn't you?

Who is this fella pitching tonight?

Ramos?

Yanks throw Eovaldi, the games' biggest enigma.....You will see 98 consistently, with some nasty breaking stuff, but he will manage to go 5 innings of 4 run ball

Ramos is a young guy whose looked good lately, but hasn't gone deep in games and this will be his big league debut. So, we have no idea what to expect.

No, it isn't his big league debut. He has appeared in the big leagues for each of the last 7 years. He is 31 years old and has appeared in 251 big league games, mostly in relief. He has put up some really good ERAs in a couple of the last 4 years. Last year he appeared in 65 games in relief for the Angels and put up an ERA of 2.75.

Wow. Total brain fart on my part.

Rangers' Cesar Ramos: Will start Monday against Yankees
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
Ramos will start Monday against the Yankees, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Cole Hamels was originally scheduled to start Monday, but ended up getting scratched due to a groin injury. Ramos has pitched 11.1 innings over three starts in the minors this season, posting an ERA of 3.18 and a WHIP of 0.88. The 31-year-old lefty has several seasons of big league experience under his belt, and brings a fastball that tops out in the low-90s, as well as a slider, curveball and rarely-used changeup to the table.

Once again the anemic offense doesnt help our SP

Rangers' Derek Holland: Takes loss Sunday

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Derek Holland (2-1) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over 6.1 innings to take the loss Sunday at the White Sox.

Holland was only provided a single run of offensive support, and his quality start wasn't enough for him to be in a position to pick up a victory. He's yet to allow more than three earned run in any of his four starts, and he owns a 3.13 ERA to go along with a 1.13 WHIP. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Angels.
