I don't understand, Morgan said if he did kill that Wolf he wouldn't have been alive to save Denise who then wouldn't have been alive to save Carl, which is stupid because if he had killed the Wolf, Denise wouldn't have been outside the wall and would have been safe to save Carl, did I miss something there?
No. His argument in that line did not make sense.

"If I hadn't put everyone in danger, than one of the people in danger would not have been able to get out of danger in order to save someone else who was put in danger because of my actions."

Nope, you're pretty much on point there.

I think the morale of the story of what Morgan was trying to tell Rick was that people can change. And the result was that the wolf did change in the end. There wasn't any flaws to what Morgan was saying. And even though Morgan was responsible for Denise being held hostage. After all of that, the wolf did a good deed and helped save her life.

To me that's the larger point. If they stop worrying about what they're becoming, then they've lost, and they ARE the same as those other groups. Only by wrestling with what's 'right' or not, do they have a chance of advancing/surviving/thriving as a group.

I think Morgan's philosophy isn't a be all and end all - obviously they're going to have to take life in order to survive, but the end goal (all life is precious) has to be there for them to remain human and rebuild anything that's going to last.

I watched something a couple of years back on cannibalism, and it pointed out that almost always, the only places where cannibalism exists is where there's an endemic shortage of protein (usually due to environmental shifts). With only a few exceptions, when the environmental conditions shift back, the rules AGAINST cannibalism come back.

Why? Because cannibalism is a horrible long term survival strategy.

All life is not precious....to think so is fucking stupid.

Some people can change. Sociopaths do not.

Did the wolf change? He was using Denise up until that point. He didn't jump in front of a bullet. He went to help but he even said before that not to read too much into it.

There were a ton of flaws in Morgan's speech. Yes...the wolf saved Denise but he is the one who put her in danger. After Morgan let him live in the woods, how many people do you think he killed? His net is definitely in the negatives after Morgan released him.

According to Morgan, the cannibals should have lived right?

All life is not precious....to think so is fucking stupid.

It's one of the cornerstones of western thought and civilization, but whatever, amirite?

Society reserves the right to deny life if the situation warrants it, but it's not done lightly and without a lot of forethought.

In a situation like these people find themselves, higher morals would sometimes by necessity take a backseat. But you'll notice that our militaries insist on the rule of law being followed in the worst combat situations.

But what do they know, amirite?

I'll count myself with the fvcking stupid on this one.

Ok if what Morgan said is wrong then Rick is wrong to when he said he doesn't take chances anymore. We all know that's not true lately.

So Jeffrey Domer's life was precious?
How about Adolph Hitler?
How about if somebody tries to r*pe your wife?

To say that all life is precious is naive. There are people that need to die in this world because they can't respect the rule of law. They can't respect other people. To say that is a cornerstone of western civilization is ignorant. Hell...I bet you believe abortion is good too.

Dude, just stop. I already said that society reserves the right to deny life. Dahmer had his day in court. We fought the Nazi's following the rules of warfare. Even when we 'bent' the rules with that, we talked it over until we were blue in the face, about the morals of it. (see: just bombing theory)

The abortion comment isn't even coherent. It's Morgan who's philosophy would fit into protecting unborn life.

If my wife is raped I have two choices as a member of society.

1. I let the criminal justice system handle it, and live with the outcome.
2. I murder the rapist, and here's the important part I LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF MY ACTIONS, most likely me going to prison at minimum.

Because (gasp!) we live in a society, and if I flout the rules, even for good reasons, I can do that, but I'll pay a price.

And for crissakes, I'm not pulling this conerstone of western civ out of my ass, it's not ME that's come up with that, it's you know, actual history.

Read something. Maybe start with the Greeks. Plato and that bunch. This isn't new under the sun.

Are there people in the world who 'need to die?' Sure. But who gets to decide? You on a whim? Given your enlightened posting in this thread, we'd all better hope not.

Okay guys, I know what's happening and what will be revealed in the finale. Stop reading now if you don't want to know.

We can assume that pizza face there was running from Negan's dudes when he first met Daryl. Now he's back with them, and somehow in a position where he's leading a group of guys. Seems improbable right? Why the hell would Negan trust a guy who already tried to run away from him with a leadership position? Negan doesn't seem like he'd be stupid, so he would only put Dwight in this position if he knew for sure Dwight was loyal or if he didn't care what happened to this particular group that Dwight was apart of.

Now, it's obvious that Little D was burned pretty badly. He mentioned burning the forest back when he met Daryl before so it's possible he was burned then. But, what if he was tortured after Negan re-captured him? Perhaps Dwight was given the Theon Greyjoy treatment to the point where he is loyal to a fault? It would make sense that they burned him as punishment. And as long as we're on the Theon Greyjoy subject, they probably cut his dick off too. That's the only way he could get bit in the groin like that, run away from the encounter, and then still be walking around a day later like nothing happened.

Anyway, as far as next week's episode goes it's likely going to open with a reveal that Daryl isn't dead. He, Michonne, Glenn, and Rosita will be Dwight's prisoners ( obviously ). I'm sure there will be a solid 10 minutes dedicated to Daryl and Two-Face talking and this is probably where we learn everything I posted above.

Elsewhere Rick will find Carol and then we'll get another big talk about how Carol has changed lately. During that talk, the dude with the rosary will try something stupid and Carol will use the rosary to kill him. Rick will then convince Carol to come back to Alexandria and afterward the two will start walking back to the car that Rick and Morgan left in the road.

We'll probably get something about Maggy going to the doctor at the other settlement as some have mentioned. Doubt she miscarries. They're just playing up the fact that she is going to have some sort of birthing issue. That way she can give birth to a zombie baby which will be born with all of the zombies' strengths and none of their weaknesses. Basically zombie Blade.

Meanwhile Edward James Olmos and his gang will probably start doing as much fucked up shit as possible to their prisoners. I'll guess that they end up killing Glenn to show everyone business before taking a branding iron to Michonne and Rosita and later raping them. When they start branding the women while making Daryl watch, the screams are heard by Morgan who has just tamed that one guy's horse. He gets on the horse and rides towards the screaming.

Eventually Morgan locates the others, but when he tries to sneak up and save the day he is also captured. It's soon revealed that Dwight's group was purposely allowing the women to make noise in order to draw in their friends and capture them as well. When Morgan is lead back to the camp he discovers Glenn's dead body, Daryl, a badly burned Michonne, and badly burned Rosita. Here it is revealed that Dwight's men also captured the horse guy who Morgan and Rick ran into earlier. One of the men who brought Morgan back tells Dwight that this should be all of them, indicating that they don't know Carol is out there and think this mystery horse man is Rick.

Dwight's men now begin torturing Daryl by forcing him to fight and kill Glenn's zombified corpse while Rosita, Morgan, and Michonne watch. As Dwight's men cheer on the fight Dwight drags Michonne off to r*pe her while others do the same to Rosita. Dwight, not having a dick, whips out a sanded down 2 x 4 as his men hold down Michonne. Right before anything can happen, we hear a rustling sound behind Dwight. A zombie pops out and is swiftly killed by one of the other Saviors. Immediately after the first zombie goes down we hear somebody warn that more zombies are coming.

20 more zombies enter the camp and Dwight and the rest of his men begin to fight them off. Daryl manages to kill zombie Glenn during this time but is knocked out by one of the Saviors soon after. Meanwhile, Michonne, Rosita, the horse guy, and Morgan ( who all have their arms and legs bound) try to run off. Dwight and the rest of the torturers manage to fight off the zombies ( albeit with fairly significant casualties) and recapture Morgan, Rosita, and Michonne. The horse guy gets eaten by a zombie during the fight.

Dwight has his men hold Michonne down as he grabs his 2 x 4, looks at her with a shit-eating grin, and says "Now, where were we?".

Just then Rick comes crashing through a bush in the car he and Morgan drove out in. He runs over several of Dwight's men on his way to crushing Dwight's spinal cord with the front of the car. Carol pops out and kills the rest of the men by slitting two of their throats and shooting the others in the chest. Rick gets out of the car and stabs the survivors of his vehicular rampage in the head. Except Dwight. Rick gives explicit instructions to keep him alive and bring him back to Alexandria.

As Rick rounds up the survivors and his group begins to drive back to Alexandria ( Morgan and Carol ride back on the horse ), we see one man watching the group through binoculars. He looks back at someone else and says "Tell Negan it went exactly as expected".

End episode.

Basically next season we learn that Negan ( for some reason ) got upset with that one girl that Dwight was with in earlier episodes. To punish her he sends Dwight to find the group from Alexandria and take their shit, knowing full well that Dwight would fail and probably die since he's a huge faggot.

Then back at Alexandria Rick ties Dwight to a post out in the middle of town while he talks with Michonne, Rosita, and Morgan about what happened. We learn that Rick and Carol heard everyone getting tortured, but saw Morgan get captured and decided they had to wait for the noise to attract some zombies and provide a distraction before moving in to save the day. While they are talking, the horse Morgan found gets super horny and rams its 12 inch schlong into Dwight's ass, raping him while everyone watches. Then the horse takes a huge shit on Dwight's face, leading to Dwight choking to death on excrement.

That's all I got, for now. Not sure what they'll do with the rest of next season.

TL;DR Cave figured it all out.

Great episode, I kept waiting for something to happen. I def think Daryl is alive and all. The more I think about it, the more I think Killing him in the finale is a cop out. He was not in the books, he was made for the show, so leave him in the show. Killing him only saves the rest of the group. IMO that would be an easy way out for the show..He lets create the guy so we can kill him when Negan comes to town so we can save Glenn....nah, fuck that.

I kind of think this is going to happen:

I remember reading in the beginning that this season final was hard on everyone, esp Maggie. I think she losses the baby and Glenn. Then you have Daryl getting shot and will he make it. Carol is gone. Maggie would lose her shit. Ricks group would be struggling/down/sad to say the least. What a way to end the season. A cliffhanger on Daryl and everyone wondering what will happen to Maggie, and where is Carol.

I am confused...

Seriously, though, that was better than I thought you would do. It isn't accurate in any way whatsoever, but it was actually some cool fanfic. Until the last paragraph, of course. But you can't be mad at a scorpion for being a scorpion.
