This will be the only time ever where I will root for a Cowboy to do well. I'm not upset, this happens in this game, but Alf is the best guy to come down the pike in years and I hope he does well.

Stats don't tell the whole story with Alfred. Great teammate and wish him the best in the dark star

What Kevin said. Dallas got a good football player and a better person.

Cost of doing business. Alfred was the easiest Redskin to root for this side of Darrell Green. Truly humble, grateful, talented, level-headed millionaire football player athletes are incredibly rare.

It's almost the perfect karmic retribution that he signs a two year deal with the cowboys. Serves Danny Snyder right for all of his horseshit meddling.

I wish Alfred well, but am sorry he went from a team that until last year was perhaps the most poorly mismanaged in all of professional sports, to The Jerrah's team, which remains seriously in the running.

Alfred Morris deserved better.

:L I love Alf and knew this was a possibility. Sadly, he lost his burst and ability to shake off that first tackler with us. His lack of ability to catch out of the backfield basically made him a two-down back.

Don't know if he'll recapture his magic in Dallas. I'm trusting Scot that the won't but still wish Alf all the best as much as a Redskin can for a current Cowboy.

You said it! He just did not look like he had that same explosiveness. Not to mention, he didn't break a lot of tackles, especially initial tacklers. He used to shed those tackles with ease. I remember, when we played the Jets, last season. It was him and Calvin Pryor, one-on-one. Pryor easily tackled him. I just shook my head. The old Alfred would've ran right through him. Still, I'll miss Alfred, especially seeing his trademark, HR swing after each TD.

He'll love running behind that huge OL.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me. What RB wouldn't, they are some road graders. I have a feeling his new teammates, and Cowboy fans will grow to like Alf as well. He's an easy guy to root for.

Really hard to predict. First thing I thought of was this is the best OL for any RB. But it was obvious as posted earlier that he had lost something, big time.

we discussed at the beginning of the 2015 season that Morris was a rhythm back ... and losing touches to Jones was going to effect his production.

take away 2015 ... where his attempts dropped by 60+ touches ... the man has averaged a thousand yards every season.

i am beyond livid ... seeing him in that uniform is going to make me ill.

His ypc also dropped every year. I love the guy and I hate to see him in Dallas but in a football sense I dont really think we lost anything.

I guess we will see when the season rolls around. The big knock on Jones coming out of school was that he had issues staying healthy. He had issues staying healthy last year. So whats better?? A RB that averages 4.4 yards per carry over his career and has not missed a single game, or one who averaged 3.4 and missed three games in his first season.

So yea, we lost our most durable back who on a down slide produced 3.7 yards per carry and are prepared to rely on the guy who averaged 3.4 yards per carry.

But you are right, we didnt lose anything.

Well Im guessing the days of Alf getting 4.8 YPC are over. And Im not the biggest Jones fan, but I think a RB in the draft could easily replace what he was giving us as well as Jones continuing to contribute some. So no I dont really think we lost much on the field.

Well I know we got a good locker room guy and a rock solid citizen on and off the field. We shall see if Morris does well behind the Dallas OL. Its a small risk for maybe a big reward for a downfield runner. Yall are all classy in your remarks about Morris that says a lot about a players character with the fans.

Most people, including our coaches, thought Jones would replace Morris. For the deal he got from Dallas, he should have been resigned by us. Once again, we create a hole and say we will fill it in the draft. Right now we need D-line, ILB, CB, S and now a RB. At minimum five contributing players, from eight draft picks....

Again I will ask you, would you rather have a RB getting around 4 YPC and available for 16 games.... Or a possible?? Nevermind that its actually a rather weak class of RBs behind Elliot.

We didnt really create a hole though. We shouldve taken a RB in the draft either way. Ill take the possible. And there are some RBs in this draft worth taking a look at.

As per SM - they are building for 2017 and beyond - not necessarily for 2016. Therefore - they don't need to fill all of those holes at once (& they will likely acquire more picks). As for Morris - great guy & all the best, but get used to these type of moves. The team will be in flux and will get rid of guys who show signs of decline regardless of their salary. Good teams do this all of the time. Sentiment can't be part of the equation.
