Do you think he's gonna get a Lamar Miller type deal? I guess I hadn't thought about it till now.

He won't get that much but I wouldn't be surprised if he was being offered at least $5 million a year. RB's are making more than I thought. With the Cap exploding over these past few years teams are just spending big. Throw in this is the year they have to meet the Cap Floor of 89% over a 4 year period. So the teams with the most Cap Space are being forced to spend whether they want to or not. NO more of this some team still having over $20 million in cap space when the season starts.

No he won't get a Lamar Miller type of deal, but he isn't gonna be pennies either.

Hillman may have had an up and down year, but he was far from a joke and is certainly better than 99 other options out there. You say you're "ain't gonna go all dramatic over it" when it comes to losing CJ, so don't act like Hillman was some 4th string scrub. We all know he had his issues, but he also had huge games for us.

Also, you think CJ is going to get more than like a $10mil deal over 3 years? Knowshon hardly got that, and he performed way better than CJ did. Oddly the comparison is with the Dolphins again being the potential suitor for the FA, but you know what I mean.

Relax. Of course there are 99 worse options then Hillman out there. I mean my mother is a worse option then Hillman.

Quit acting like I said we couldn't afford CJ Anderson.

I said we weren't spending money on Chris Ivory type of contract at the RB position.

Stand back and count to 10 buddy! Things will be oooooook.

I never really saw Ronnie Hillman ever have a "HUGE" game for us... He had a few good one's but not enough. Time to move on. He was a letdown high 3rd rd pick. He can go play 3rd string somewhere else.

I do remember one game that made me go "Wow!" when Hillman plays. It was the 2014 season against the Jets. I remember him running hard up the middle and breaking some tackles. I kept thinking "Well maybe Hillman has arrived." Unfortunately he got hurt a couple weeks later and that ended that thought.

Hillman is the type of guy that I like to have in my rotation but him being the starter this year just was not a fan. He wasn't a great fit for the ZBS as he wanted to bounce outside way too often. This is why he was a guy good for a homerun or two but he also struck out on plenty of occasions. He really frustrated me more so in the playoffs because he tried even more to push the ball outside. He just was trying way too hard to have the big play when the 5 yard run on the cut back was wide open.

My guess is Hillman ends up in Chicago. Fox loves Hillman from what I understand I think their scheme would be a better fit for him. I think he will still have decent success for the next few years but I do think we can find somebody that is a better fit to get more consistent success from the RB position.

The Jets is really the only game that Hillman stuck out to me. Maybe one more.

Agree with everything else you said. Not saying Hillman can't play in this league. He just isn't a starter and he doesn't belong in a ZBS.

Hillman may fit in Chicago, my only thing there is they have Langford, Carey and Rodgers who they just re-signed. Unless they make a move there with Carey. Rodgers is small like Hillman but much more powerful. But they were also interested in CJ Anderson so it is possible.

I always had the feeling Elway LOVED Hillman. I think his patience has finally run out though.

Very disappointed in Malik Jackson's words on the way out. Was interviewed today and ripped on the Broncos for not signing him, Trevathan, and Osweiler. Said the Broncos could have signed all 3 for next to nothing...

Hmmm well I guess that $11 million a year contract is even less than nothing? I guess that $16 million a year deal to Osweiler is less than nothing?

Just don't get what he is saying and it just seems very disrespectful to the team that drafted you, tried very hard to re-sign you (more so than any other player I have seen Elway pursue), and surrounded you with lots of talent in the coaching and teammate category to help you get paid the way you did. I mean on a lesser team like say he was a Raiders player for the last 4 years when the stunk. He is looking at maybe a $5-10 million at best type deal per year because teams would have worked to stop him with not as much talent around him.

Dude just won a SB with us. Scored a TD. Grabbed his money and ran (like most of us would do, so no grudge there) but shut your mouth and leave...

I think a player like him has to be a little upset that he isn't going to stay a part of this team, but that was also his choice. He could have taken a little less to stay here and still put food on the table.

I thought his comment before FA was kinda stupid.

"I won't take a hometown discount, because I need to eat"

Yeah I remember that comment so again then his comment today of how he would have stayed for next to nothing to be a Denver Bronco just makes no sense. Again they made a very competitive offer that to me was market value compared to other players at his position with similar success. He refused to take the offer and went to the highest bidder so to me the Broncos did what they needed to do but he chose to go elsewhere.

Just seems these guys feel like they have to get in one more shot. I remember the same thing with Cutler where he took a shot at the fans of all people when he went to Chicago. Not exactly the way to leave a good memory of a player. I appreciate all he did for us in the 4-years we had him but man sometimes the whole "better to keep your mouth shut and thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

I will say this is the one part that I do appreciate of Osweiler's comments today. He gave a glowing review of his time in Denver and is moving on. That is how you do it.

Adam Schefter is reporting that it is not a matter of if a deal gets done to send Kaepernick to the Broncos but when. So looks like a very good chance we know who our next QB is.

Yeah I mean I'd always be a little thankful towards the team that drafted you unless some rare incident came up and there was reason not to.

I saw Von cracking a joke at Brock and Malik for leaving yesterday, was sorta funny.

Well Von will quickly join them and trump both of their contracts. When I saw what Vernon got from the Giants I just said to myself "Crap...do they realize what they've done?!"

Yeah, pretty easy for Von to poke fun at them for grabbing money and going when he is tagged and will make more then both of them and stay on the team. He looks like the good guy! ;)

Hi Guys.......

CJ is supposed to visit Foxboro tomorrow (Friday). The Dolphins are going to throw a pile of money his way to stop Belichick from doing anything to get him. I don't have any idea what Elway is willing to spend, but I'd guess the Dolphins will offer him 3-4 years and $12-$16M. Roughly $4M per. The Jets overpaid Forte to keep him away from the Pats, the Dolphins will do the same. The AFC East doesn't get better, they fall trap to every Patriot rumor.

The Patriots only have $20M to spend under the cap. They ain't going to give anyone a $10M contract.

Haha like I said I don't blame them for leaving and we all knew good chance we would lose at least 1 of the 3. I honestly did not expect all 3 to be gone but for the money they were offered I don't blame the Broncos for walking away and I don't blame the player for taking the money. Both sides made good decisions in my opinion.

Von yeah he could take the highest contract in NFL history and I think most of us would still love him considering he helped bring our 3rd trophy to town.

Hmmm you are hearing differing things than me. I've heard that the Pats already made an offer but the Dolphins made a higher one. Not sure what it is at though.

Sorry I should correct myself here. I was mislead a bit on this. Adam Schefter did not say it is a matter of when he will be traded to the Broncos he just said it is a matter of when he will be traded. No team was mentioned. A Broncos reporter took it a step further. So don't go buying your Kaep jerseys just yet.
