The first thing I thought of as well. With such a deep DL class I'm trying to figure out what that means. At first I was thnking DL in the first. But maybe they feel they can find first round value in round 2 so they go in another direction.

Hey gk I guess he doesn't think Murphy is a starter or even a backup for that matter. Ha Ha. Could you imagine if Lee was taken and we signed Galette back?

how many times do we have to go over this about pundits ? they were all dead wrong last year

lee is a BPA pick and i would be upset with it but a rotation with murphy , smith lee and kerrigan with gallette in the mix bodes well for us

I know its still early but If Lee and Galette are on the team how does Murphy fit in the picture? Somebody is going to have to make a position change. Are you really going to make Murphy a 5th OLB? Do five OLB's make the team?

Ii do agree that if he is the BPA, we would take him. But the odds are he will not be. And if he is and we take him, that pick has nothing to do with Murphy and his play. We took another OLB because he represented the best player out there. You always try and draw this correlation and it just doesn't exist. If anything, it would be that they don't think they will agree to terms with Gallette is why they might need another OLB.

Well here goes...this DL class is full of run stuffers so maybe we don't go that way. No DL in this class has a big burst.

Dean...I am guessing you are wrong on Fuller. He will likely be a first rounder and likely be taken ahead of at least one of Apple and McKenzie. I say this because you are usually wrong.

If we draft Lee, that means he is moving to ILB because he weighs all of 230 pounds. So the person that changes positions...drum roll...Lee.


For the record, I expect us to take a DL in round one or two. I think too many mocks look at perceived need over talent of the players.

The key here is Gallette. If Galette signs in March and we do take Lee @21 then that does have a lot to do with Murphys play

Nope. It has to do with Lee was the best player available. Not that they were weak at OLB. Do you not understand what SM says when he drafts by BPA and not need? Its a very simple concept.
