I see in this am's DPO that Sports Authority has filed for bankruptcy with debts of over $1 B. So if they lose their naming rights - who do you have as next corporate sponsor?

Six months ago, I went into Sports Authority to buy some lures, line and hooks.

They had discontinued their fishing inventory and there was no fishing stuff to be had.

I knew right then that they were finished.

Papa John's makes a ton of sense. This could also help the Broncos with some cash flow. I think with Sports Authority they paid something like $6 million a year to have their name on the Broncos stadium. I could see them easily bump that up to $10 million a year for whoever is the next sponsor. Over a 10-year period gives the team an extra $100 million to play with.

I would love to see it named this. The only problem is the team misses out on what could be $10 million a year just for having a name on the stadium. We are not the most cash loaded team in the league so every little bit helps.
