Which is ridiculous, considering the movement of the ball (see final shot before call was made). Ball might have actually touched the ground, before the WR got tight control over it.
Refs botched this one big time.
The pass was out of bounds. The clock was stopped anyway.
Ball can move as long as he doesn't lose control or it hit the ground. I couldn't tell about either. They never showed that shot again.
I said 'no catch' because I thought he did not maintain control of the ball.Yup, nothing to loose.
And Rivera was actually correct in challenging it. But as the NFL makes up what is a catch as it goes - and seemingly dependent on team/player/situation it does not surprise me they did not overturn that one (despite clear movement of the ball before the player hit the ground - and was OOB.
Rule is going down, one needs to maintain total control (based on how it was called earlier this season) - which the WR clearly did not (though great effort to do so).
Our secondary can't cover a bucket of water. Bet this gamecomes down to an offside kick.
