Tristan did play well, but the Spurs were totally fine with that scenario.
Leonard outplayed James.
Parker outplayed Kyrie.
Love did his usual nothing when it mattered.

Parker beat the brakes off Kyrie.

The SPURS did not even play that good and still basically controlled the game for 3 quarters

The Cavs hit some silly 3 pointers early, but you knew it was not going to keep up forever.

Tony Parker was apparently pissed about hearing Kyrie Irving, Kyrie Irving, Kyrie Irving all day long...and his great game last year in SA.

Parker reminded the youngster that he is not ready to hang up the shoes just yet.

The Cavs will still be there in the end regardless. They are a great team.

I just hope SA gets there as well.

yah he did. Kyrie really played a poor game. Thompson and Jr Smith looked to be the only Cavs that really played good games.

That was terrible in the 4th- the Cavs were ICE COLD there for like 5 minutes- much credit to the Spurs defense for sure- but the Cavs couldnt buy a bucket...Love and Irving were clanking them.

Fun game to watch though. I think Stampede is right- Parker looked like he was playing with a little chip on his shoulder.

That put back slam of Leonards was insane. LeBron had his thumb up his ass and just let him crash instead of even making an attempt to box him out.

The TNT guys are saying it was the best game of the year thus far they have had - with a playoff atmosphere and i just might agree.

Cavs play @ Houston tomorrow night- and then come home to Golden State Monday.....

Not gonna be an easy game tomorrow- but it sure would be nice to win and take some pressure off of looking at 2 straight losses and GSW at home.

Rim Protection is such a vital thing.

Parker and company can live in the paint without fear of shot blocking on dribble drives.
Cleveland's big men are some of the worst rim protectors in history.

TT and Love scare nobody on a dribble drive.
If Parker beats his man, it is a layup or foul versus Cleveland unless Lebron sprints over.

LeBron is a freak of nature. He can generally protect a rim if he is within 15 feet, he is that athletic.
But he needs some help. Cleveland should look to add rim protectors.

SA has a bunch of really gifted rim protectors in Duncan, Kawahi, Diaw, and (even Aldridge a bit as well).
Irving got outplayed because he couldn't get to the rim like Parker did.

Rockets are finally meeting some semblance of expectations with the 5-game win streak.

Good news for the Cavs is the GSW game is at home. Warriors have a longer home win streak than the Spurs.

Spurs won the game during that stretch in the 4th holding the cavs scoreless for several minutes.

But the most critical part of the game, imo, was the end of the 1st half. Parker scored 12 straight, spurs end half on 6-0 run, cutting a 12 point lead to 6 in less than 2 minutes.

Totally disagree with the Love defense comments on this thread. That was actually one of my biggest takeaways was how impressed I was with his defense. Didn't have a great 4th obviously, but no Cav did. His defense against Duncan and Aldridge tonight - 2 great players - was very solid.

Love offensive numbers got to be a concern for Cleveland. There is no doubt in a series that Lebron & Kyrie will show up but Love I'm not sure about.

Your starting PF is shooting 41% from the field. That is awful. Those numbers won't fly in a series against San Antonio or Golden State. He needs to be more efficient

Neither Team played their best.

But, it was still a fun game to watch.

During our convo the other day, we both stated that the Cavs biggest advantage was Kyrie vs. Parker.

So, yeaaaah.....

I wouldn't count on last night's result to happen every game if they met in the Finals.

But, Parker made a huge statement.

Someone needs to give Love a pep talk.

The Spurs can get away with Aldridge having a bad game because they have West.

If Kevin lays an egg, the Cavs are cooked.:2cents:

Kyrie will get the best of Parker when it matters- right now Kyrie is really having a tough time with his specialty- finishing at the rim- not only that- but he is around a career 40% 3 pt shooter and is currently shooting 27%....its gonna take a little time with him...

Spurs played well- the Cavs made a lot of mistakes though- not only that- but seriously that shooting was so bad in the 4th- and a lot of those were uncontested- one of them- a kyrie 15 wide open jumper i cant believe he missed- once i saw that it was like- its just not gonna happen tonight.

1. Nobody in the league gives James a rougher time than Leonard.

2. If Cavs have to roll out Delly/Jefferson in the 4th qtr, they aren't winning.

and Mecca- it was funny--- like hours before the game- the Spurs fan critizized JR and I got on Parker- and those 2 guys were positively great for each team..haha....

Thompson played great too- those rolls to the basket he just takes its so freaking strong....I really like how he matches up against Aldridge.

The truth- is- against the Spurs anyway- going small with Thompson at center and LeBron at PF- might be the way to go.....have Delly cover parker, Kyrie on Green, and then Shump on Leonard...

The Rockets would have a better shot at winning if the Cavs hadn't lost to the Spurs. Cavs are gonna make the Rockets pay for it. Cavs/Warriors should be a great game.

I agree but I highly doubt James will go MIA in a playoffs series. He will put the team on the back if he has to . Love on the other hand will just go MIA and be the reason they lose.
