Anyone want to take a stab at a mock draft for us?

Talk to me after the Super Bowl.

BUt right now i would say if one of the top wide outs is sitting there in the first round, we would be really tempted.

Laquon Treadwell?

He might not get past Dallas, much less down into the 20's.

Im actually feeling

Josh Doctson, WR, TCU

Height: 6-4. Weight: 195.
Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round (2015): 2-3.
1/9/15: In 2015, Doctson had 79 catches for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. He didn't impress in his matchup against Gopher corner Eric Murray, but he was superb in Big XII play.

Doctson uses his size to make acrobatic catches in the end zone and along the sideline. He has good hands and tremendous leaping ability. Doctson missed the final two games of the regular season with a wrist injury. Some teams have graded out Doctson as a third-rounder. The lack of speed to separate pushes him down.

8/10/15: Doctson hauled in 65 passes for 1,018 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2014. He had a huge increase in production over his sophomore (36-440-4) and freshman (35-393-5) seasons. Doctson produced almost a quarter of his yardage against Oklahoma State with seven receptions for 225 yards. He started out at Wyoming as a freshman and sat out the 2012 season after transferring.

But I will have to wait on his combine reports to see if he improves his draft stock. First round might be a stretch for him right now.

If we draft this guy, one of either Garcon or D-Jax has to go.

Not really, as i think Roberts is about to get cut with the quickness. That would give up Jackson, Garcon, Crowder, Doctson, Grant and Ross. As i dont think we carry 3 QBs on the 53 next year, we pick up the extra roster spot to carry 6 WRs.

Derrick Henry will be extremely tempting if he is sitting there at our pick pair him with Jones would be a hell of a combo I think Morris is done in Washington

I wonder how good Grant really will become. He runs precise routes, but he blew it on that long route when he turned around twice. If he hand't done that, he might've had a TD. I know that it appeared that Cousins overthrew him, but if he kept running straight, I think he would've had a play on that ball.

My point is, there will be some options out there that are young and have some size AND skills. Aside from the O-line which Im still not comfortable with, WR and RB are the only spots I see as issues on offense.

On defense, pick a position group.

The line is a bit long in the tooth, the LB positions are pedestrian, and we all know secondary needs help. But I just see us going in the direction of shoring up the offense first.

Tempting for sure, but I dont see us drafting a RB in the 1st round. If this kid has a solid 40, people will be having visions of the Nigerian Nightmare

I would add center and LG to the mix for sure. Litch CAN be solid, but he doesnt have enough weight to be a starter and is getting long in the tooth. And unless Long or Kojo step up, we need another LG in the event that Lavauo is hampered.

Side note... Im really looking forward to see ho KC develops with a FULL off season as the starter and hopefully a #1 WR that is taller than my mother in law.

That would be nice. However - the current receiving core (if healthy) would be more than adequate if the Redskins had a solid running game. I believe that will require at least one more solid RB and continued development of the O line. Most teams need at least the threat of a running game to be successful.

Despite performance, Derrick Henry may not be a can't-miss NFL prospect

Be careful. We have been down this road before. Just because a guy does well in college does not mean that he will do well in the NFL. See the article above. If you want a strong word of caution just remember that Trent Richardson was in the same position several years ago before becoming a total bust.

I am not saying that Henry will fail - just that the team needs to be careful, and he almost certainly will not be drafted in the 1st round (few RBs are).

Grant is great at run blocking, runs awesome routes, is pretty slow, and has above average hands. If he was a few inches taller, he'd be a fantastic possession wr. As is, he's relatively nondescript. Not fast/quick enough to burn slot cb's or play outside the hashmarks, not big enough to use his body as an effective shield.

There's no reason to cut him at this point, but he clearly isn't the playmaker Crowder is, and probably got a lot of time this year due to the TE issues the redskins had (blocking).

Good pt & a reminder that a healthy Paul should also help this team quite a bit.

I'd like to see the redskins draft another OL in the first few rounds, and another DLineman.

The O Line needs a new center.
The D Line needs more pass rush, youth (besides Baker), and a run stopper.
The Secondary needs a true free safety.
A RB who hits the holes hard would be nice.
A tall, big WR who can work the middle of the field would be nice (to take the pressure off of Reed).
I think the ILB's are actually pretty good. Compton and Foster might not be flashy, but the defense played SIGNIFICANTLY better when they stepped in. I like Compton, actually. Unless a Kuechly is there for the taking (I don't follow college FB, so I don't know), I would stand pat here.

I have faith in GMSM.

I like this and although I like what Compton and Foster added to the D we could really use an impact ILB. Whenever I see Bowman I tell him to come home and play but for some reason he just looks at me and smiles.
