Brutal game, they looked out of whack all game long. I rail on Muzzin, and it's been a while, but he went back to 2011 with last night's performance. Been a while since I could say he truly played like shit in every aspect of the game.

I think it's safe to say Ehrhoff is done and will not be back after this season but for $1.5 million it was a risk worth taking considering the cap situation the Kings are in and needing a defenseman with Voynov's departure. I still feel a major move is necessary and will happen on the back end. Doughty is all world, Muzzin/Martinez are hybrid T2/T3s and the rest - Greene/McNabb/Ehrhoff/McBain are nothing but bottom pair defenders.

I like how Forbert has come along, but I am not willing to give him major minutes just yet so they are shielding him just fine. Love the fact he stood up for two teammates last week no questions asked. I will say I was surprised Mersch was out of there on PK last night but he did fine.

That defense is OK but IMO not good enough to win a Cup, I still see a move involving either Pearson or King plus assets bringing back a T2 defender that will not be a rental.

I was telling the wife early in the game just watch, he will score it against LA - never fails.

Now I wasn't expecting Muzzin to put it in for him but knew it was going to be that kind of game for Muzzin when he freight trained by McLeod early and then shortly after that number 27 dude drilled him too and it was downhill from there.

I was actually thinking Muffin had been playing decent of late, I am glad I didn't say anything like that. I would rather see Pearson moved then King, Pearson hasn't played well since his return and really doesn't fit with the rest of the lineup IMO. King is at least a big body and has improved much since he came up, I did not like him much when he would stand around looking like Pencakes, but that time seems to have passed. Erhoff, what a disappointment, but well worth the limited risk...You can tell even Sutter is not happy with the backend play so you know if a move comes it will try to address that.
