My thoughts exactly.

A bit off topic but not worth it's own thread: anyone else not buying that it's a coincidence that our run defense improved dramatically once Riley and Robinson were replaced due to injury?
in robinson's defense he has been injured in areas that make tackling difficult

I don't know, he was struggling before he got hurt. One of the big mysteries of the year, what happened to Mr. Robinson. Going into the year he was our best defensive player.

As for Mack 30 isn't that old for a center, I still like the idea.

No because I had been saying for weeks before he was hurt/benched that KRob was struggling, taking bad angles, hitting the wrong hole etc. Riley was okay with Compton, much better than when KRob was in there. Problem #2 was TRob who had the same problems as KRob.

Talking about centers now, Lichtensteiger will be available for the playoffs. Play him instead of Leribeus who's inexplicably got problems making shotgun snaps and remembers snap counts.

Ok, I have to interject here. Keenan Robinson is our best ILB and most athletic ILB if you know anything about playing defense. The guy got hurt and has fell victim to Gruden's system where a guy goes in, plays well which Compton & Foster to a lesser extent have done so why mess with the mojo so to speak. We need to keep Robinson in the fold because he will be far to valuable when healthy. He to is being a great teammate and playing ST if you haven't noticed. Here is a guy who led our team in tackles last year. Give him time to get healthy and he will be back to his starting spot by next season.

I do know something about football and playing ILB. I disagree, the coaches disagree or that is what we are hearing on multiple fronts but I pointed out in numerous games where he was taking poor angles, straying from his gap. In a one gap system it should be hard to repeatedly hit the wrong gap ... injured or not.

Did you notice him playing on STs Saturday while Compton and Foster started?

The kid has skills that Compton doesn't have, now he needs to learn how to use them. That could still happen.

Would've liked to see some of supposed athleticism on display for Robinson to prevent that I've fallen and I can't get up tackle Tom Brady straight broke his ass down with in the Pats game. Or some of it would've been nice to see when he dropped a sure pick 6 last year.

I read that regardless what happens at ILB far as Riley and Robinson coming back from innjury goes. That Compton was keeping his starting ILB position and in part its because he can play both ILB positions. Foster and Compton look like a better ILB duo to me than Robinson and Riley ever were. Robinson is a looks like Tarzan player and he's fast so he'll probably stick n stay a little bit longer. I think Riley ends up as odd man out.

I would keep giving Robinson very little money. He may be our most athletic LB but he lacks the brain and analysis for the position.

Really GK, lacks the brain and analysis to play the position? You know that how? Look, the kid has been playing ILB most if not all his life. While he may not dissect as quickly as Compton, he has intangibles off the chart that no ILB on our roster has. He is a keeper and will be a future starter for us, mark my words.

I don't know about his intelligence but I do know he was in the wrong place way too often and the run defense has improved since he has been out. As I said before that goes for TRob also.

I agree as Breed didmentioned that he has physical skills, turning them into football skills is what he needs to do. Maybe you didn't see it but SM was interviewed after the Eagles game and he said he is interested in getting football players more than combine stars. Not his exact words but that was the essence of what he said.

I know that by watching the game. He goes into the wrong hole and takes the wrong angle far too often. You always go bat shit crazy when people question players on this team and you are far too often wrong about them. Start watching and passing judgement for their on field ability. He is an athlete...he doesn't have the intangibles...he has the tangibles.
