~ field goal soars directly over the top of the goal post - it's a miss? and isn't reviewable?

looked like it went over the upright but that means by rule its not good. because it did go between them or between them extended. by extension it likely would have bounced off.

If it goes directly over the upright it's good though.

I guess the refs felt bad for the screw job dook was handed in the Miami game so they bent IU over with that call.

I dont think it is. it has to go through the uprights. the distance between them is a fixed distance. if over the goal posts counts too why not just make the distance between them that much longer?

I think part of the confusion is College vs NFL

In COLLEGE the entire ball must pass inside the inside edge of the upright. in other words entirely between the uprights. In NFL the ball mus pass inside the outside edge of the upright. in other words over the upright.

This kick in a college bowl game ( or any college game) was no good. this kick in the NFL would have been good.
