Best matchups for week 15

2 shitty teams never = an interesting match up.

I know thus the smiley face. It could still be a good overall game but doubtful. The matchup I want to see is next week in the Hawks @ Cards.

I think the Broncos/Steelers match up means the more, mostly because neither is a serious (as in barring a miracle) SB contender.

If the Steelers lose they are likely to miss out on the tourney.

If the Broncos lose again they would put a lot of pressure on themselves to win their last two or possibly miss out as well.

That reads as though I don't think the Broncos or Steelers are SB contenders, but that's not what I meant. I was talking about the Colts and Jaguars originally and then moved on to Denver and Pittsburgh without articulating my position clearly.

Andrew Luck (kidney) is practicing Wednesday.

It's Luck's first practice since getting injured six weeks ago against the Broncos. He was donning a red no-contact jersey on Wednesday, but this at least opens the door for Luck to return to the lineup Sunday against the Texans with the AFC South title on the line the final three weeks. With Matt Hasselbeck all sorts of banged up, the Colts may be inclined to push Luck.

Coach Chuck Pagano has already ruled out Andrew Luck (kidney) for Week 15 against the Texans.

Luck returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since suffering a lacerated kidney on November 8, but he's only been cleared for individual work and not 11-on-11 or team drills. At this point, it's anyone's guess to when Luck will be back playing in games. Matt Hasselbeck (rib, arm) didn't practice Wednesday, but is expected to start Sunday.
