Well, there is still a lot of football to play but our Broncos now control their own destiny 100%. Cincinatti now sits in the #1 position but the Broncos will play them in Denver in a few weeks. The Broncos certainly own the head to head record against the Patriots. The opportunity to secure home field advantage was vastly improved today but our team needs to get past an angry Raiders team first. Go Broncos!

It's hard to see any of the Bengals, Broncos or Patriots winning out. With the Bengals and Broncos both have each other as well as the Steelers. They're not as impressive as they were a few years ago but they're still a capable opponent. The Patriots have a tough one at the Jets coming up.

And far be it from me to look past a 5-7 Raiders team that has come a long way. The bottom line is the Broncos need to just handle their business and it'll be okay.

That loss by the Pats today was huge, there's no denying that.

Agree in great shape but like said above some tough games coming up and the offense will have to be better then they were today. Hopefully they get healthy as well with a few guys banged up. Can really never complain when you get a divisional road win after a huge win versus the Patriots.

Beat the Bengals and we'll have the tiebreakers over both the Bengals and Patriots. That would be huge. We were fortunate to get both of them at home this season.

Hopefully the Patriots will drop one more, then we have a little wiggle room in case someone else beats us.

Tell ya truth, even if we beat Cincy, get home field throughout playoffs,I will not be overjoyed having to play a team we beat in reg season only to have to play that pissed off team ( Cincy or NE ) who will be highly motivated/possibly a lot healthier(NE) vs a maybe overconfident Denver team. We have seen that happen before. I know the odds are prob better for us to be home but that challenge of beating a " good " team twice in same season scares the crap out of me too. Part of me would rather see us on road if we get to Div champ round. I know....it's just the history that worries me. Hopefully we have the coaches and players that won't let that " come out flat " scenario happen again like Colts game.

You would rather play those healthier, angry teams on the road than at home? Okay...

I think in years past the flops have been on coaches not getting this team pumped and the team for needing to be pumped. I think we have moved away from talent that seemed like they had little fight in them when things got tough.

I can handle a loss in the playoffs, I cannot handle coming out so flat like we have in the SB and against the colts last year.

Yeah this is more my thought as well. Del Rio showed last year that he was more of a my 11 on defense are better than your 11 on offense so I won't do anything creative but just rush 4 without any kind of creativity and drop 7 all game long. This works against mediocre to bad teams but we saw time and time again that coaching matters all the more when it comes to playing the best teams. Look at this year in our biggest games where we had Green Bay coming in undefeated and NE coming in undefeated. This team instead of backing down in the biggest games played some of their better football of the season.

I would throw in I would much rather be at home with the crowd getting the team pumped and making life very hard on QB's. They were talking about Brady at home where he can do so much more with the hurry up offense catching a defense in very bad situations. I would rather have our home crowd making that a challenge.

I think all of us have seen the difference in coaching this year. This team just has a different fight in them. This year we are 7-1 in games decided by a touchdown or less. Last year we were 4-1 but the problem seemed to be we either won big or lost big. So far this year we only have the one blowout loss to the Chiefs. Last year we had 4 losses (including the playoffs) where we just got blown out and didn't look good at all.

Lol. Yeah I know how that sounds but I was judging that more on the Denver " motivation" factor I've seen in the past. I know it's silly but I've seen Denver play better inspired ball on the road in playoffs, than when their at home and favorite. :)

To go with my last post......Denver looked pretty uninspired vs a Colts team with same staff,at home in front of a rowdy fan base that was very quiet for most of the game. That's the home team/favorite group that worries me.

Not sure we have any kind of sample size to go off of though. In the last 5 years we have only had 1 road game against NE during Tebow's year and well we lost 45-10. Right now though over the past 5 years we are 3-2 at home in the playoffs.

That was when the Broncos were suffering from Manning Malaise.

I'm confused - are you talking about last year/ this year? I'm assuming last year since we played at Indy this year.

Same staff - last year or this year's?

I don't want to play anymore. You guys are bullying me. I'm going inside and telling my mom to call your mom's!
P.S. It is debatable because of Denver's history in the playoffs....at home. Denver has fared better getting to and winning SB as a rd team. Go ahead and count how many losses as home field throughout and how many wins with at least one rd game. Just saying ;)

Well, one of our SB wins we had Home Field advantage, and the other SB win we didn't.

Boh knows football. ;)

Plus - when I see WalkerBoh - I think of vintage Bo Derek.
