When they show us Glenn being saved, anyone think it will ultimately be Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham to the rescue along with at least one other person?

They're in a truck with some serious firepower and those three aren't pussies. If they knew someone there needed help, I don't think they'd be scared to help. That and the writers make them prone to really poor judgement, so naturally they'd rush into a potentially awful situation.

So you think Daryl is going to think about burning them all with the gasoline truck? Cant think its really filled with gasoline but yet another reason to bring Negan to town. I just thought glen went off the path so the walkers would not be drawn to the noise, so I cant see a reason for them to follow off course and find him.

I'm trying to imagine a way that could be Rick calling for help from the RV that was surrounded. I know we already saw him return to Alexandria by foot but the timeline this season hasn't exactly been linear. Maybe Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha help him out, but then why would he not return with them? It definitely doesn't sound like Rick but they probably wouldn't want to make it too obvious if its a character we're familiar with. I can't see it happening but it would be really nice if they filled in that gap somehow to show us how he got out of there.

I don't know about him lighting them all up, but you do have to wonder why they'd have Daryl find a fuel truck out of all the vehicles he could have found, not to mention it still runs. I lean towards believing it and the rockets will have done significance in the future.

Now considering how many Walkers are surrounding Glenn, and might still be chowing down when backup arrives, I'd guess there should be a significant distraction. I'd think that would come from someone else. Possibly someone Glenn may not want to see (not Neegan).

I think he was talking about the rocket launcher that Abraham found more than the gas truck.

Always wondered about this though... I mean it seems the zombie's primary goal is to eat living things, so if they are already chowing down, what would possibly distract them from that?

A bunch of ADD zombies I guess? "Yum, yum, yum, oooooooo look at the pretty fire!!!" :)

I have had a theory about this since about S3...

The Zs have a drive to attack. They have a drive to hunt. But they have no digestive system. Their stomach does not work. Neither do their intestines, bowels, heart, liver or anything else. They have no need to "eat".

Look at Z-Merle. He was eating when Daryl came up on him. When he noticed Daryl, he got up from his dinner plate to attack Daryl. Why? He was already eating. Because they have a drive to kill, not a drive to eat. But they are still stupid, so they can be tricked away from a kill by loud noises or other like distractions.

So "Dwight's" group burned the forest intentionally, and it worked...drew the walkers into it.

I think they could've done something similar with the quarry walkers. Set some on fire and the rest will just walk right into it.

So far, this whole season has been set up by that Pied Piper BS, which was kind of dumb to begin with and thus subsequently makes everything thereafter seem kind of hokey??

Love the show, but this season seems much a like a pilot season (see FTWD) in that it seems to be setting up NEXT SEASON more than anything.

They have been setting up next season (S7) basically since the fall of the prison. We all know next season will be huge.

But there was so much meat to chew on this season, and story-wise, they have completely missed. The plan was just sooo asinine that is hard to get past. Even though the premiere was a decent episode, and e2 was one of the best episodes in the shows run to date, the fact that everything is based on stupidity makes it hard to swallow (the plan, Morgan's pacifism, Daryl and Aaron's lack of caution when scouting the trucks).

This just isn't a "smart" show anymore.

Btw, talking about worst episodes of the series? Watched the "Aaron" episode last night.

Horrible. I lost count of the STFU moments.

and lazy writing.

I get not liking the way the show unfolds, but how do you get them trying something new in the storytelling structure as 'lazy' writing?

'Lazy,' to me, would them mailing in the same formula over and over again, which they don't.

Criticize away! But I don't think you're being fair with the above.

I also don't get people impulsive need to make the characters 'smart.'

The characters are all too human, and fvck up constantly. If they were all perfect Gary Stu, Mary-sue zombie killing machines, there would be no drama to the show at all.

As a viewer you're SUPPOSED to think, 'hey, I'd have done this or that differently,' why that's a negative I have no idea.

'Hey another episode where they go out in phalanx formation and safely kill off another zombie horde, nearly got the entire continent cleared out now.'

hey, i wanna watch THAT show!

The whole Sasha & Abraham speaking in metaphors thing needs to stop... It was way over the top

Yeah. I believe that was supposed to be under-the-circumstances witty banter...

Ugh. I hate when I do this, but I read a spoiler for the finale. The site that I read it on has a great accuracy record and has basically laid out what's gonna happen. Some people on here are either gonna be very disappointed or just laugh.

I will say this: If true, a couple of you have nailed it. Or at least parts of it. ;)

Glenn's death scene was a hallucination. Only Nick falls, which allows Glenn to escape, but none of it matters because this is all a coma-induced dream. Rick is still at the hospital with Lori and Shane still fighting the urge to fuck each other??

Am I close?

Actually, the whole ZA is an alien invasion. Another alien race will show up and resurrect the Gov and Tyrees to fight on the side of humanity...

Oops. Sorry. No Comic spoilers...

Yes, this actually occurred in the comics....

So the dude in the forest is Dwight. He has a crossbow now.

I suspect that the next time we see him he'll look a little different.
