The biggest irony so far to me, is that we are a 'passing' Offense and nothing has seemed to work changing that.

Makes me wonder what Callahan is doing behind the scenes. He is supposed to be the running game/Oline guru after all.

My understanding was that he was spearheading creation of the 'run' play calls for games. So far it hasn't worked...for 6 games. Run blocking has been a big part of the problem...yet one of our best run blockers...DY sits unused game after game. Why?! We've heard Jay say he should be used more...is it Callahan who is too stubborn to realize that using a FB like DY as a lead blocker is worth a try at this point?

I never see any criticism being laid his direction when it comes to discussion of our running game.

Count me as someone who is asking.

We are a passing team b/c of the game situations we are in. We are always down two scores in most of our games. That is why KC will always have 40 passing attempts. Take this week for example. I thinking about adding KC to my fantasy team. Do you really think we are going to beat the Saints by running the ball?

Game situations can account for some of the reason but the biggest reason to me is that...

We became a passing team because we can't implement a running game successfully.

And yes, I think they could beat the Saints and their shitty D with a running attack if we actually had one.

With Jackson back we should become a passing team and use the run if we have a 2 possession lead. We are getting great pass protection.

Funny because I didn't know where Callahan is the run guru came from other than Dallas having a great running game last year. In my mind Shanahan is the run guru. The older red one. Now it didn't work out with him on many levels but tell me who had a more consistent rushing record over the past 15-20 years.

Riggins made a point a few weeks ago that I brought up. When Gibbs first came here he came from the Air Coryell tree. He wanted to pass like they did. Didn't work. After going 0-5 he put the game on the back of his young (soon to be Hogs) and Riggins. So .... Riggins point .... maybe like what happened to Gibbs having to change to a run identity is it possible the current version of the Redskins might be finding their identity is a passing identity? Interesting point to ponder.
