Whatever, that is your opinion, but Ohio State hasn't lost a game this year and IMO they should be ranked #1 until they lose a game.
You're right if Bama can win out, then they could go to the playoffs. I have no problems with that. And?
Sooner or later you are just going to have to accept that Alabama is most likely going to the playoffs. And if you don't like that, you better start becoming an LSU, Texas A&M, Miss St, Tennessee, Arkansas or Auburn fan and pray they prevent it.
If 1 bad game is all Alabama has all year long, I'll take that.
See - polls are tricky. Ranking teams is tricky. The variables you look at for one team are going to be different than the variables you look at for another team, because no two teams are the same. And what makes teams good is never the same. That's why it's important to have a multitude of opinions in order to see patterns emerge. It's certainly possible that people will disagree with my opinions, but that's all part of the process.Whatever, that is your opinion, but Ohio State hasn't lose a game this year and IMO they should be ranked #1 until they lose a game.
They have not "almost lost" even one game. They haven't looked good but this isn't FSU where they were pulling rabbits out of hats at the end of games to win.Im not a fan of OSU being #1. They have one of the weakest schedules in college football and almost lost 2-3 games already but like the saying goes u have to beat the champ to be #1. They haven't lost so I understand it. In my opinion I have them at #3 if they didn't win it last year.
They haven't played like a #1 team this year. I think once they play some good teams they might be in trouble.

Alabama is most likely going to the playoffs.
I have no problem with your comment. IMO, if Ohio State wins out, they will be the #1 team in the nation, come playoff time. That's terrible. Do you at the same time complain about preseason polls?
If you want to rank Ohio St #1 it should be because despite their troubles they are still winning and they are still the Big10's best chance to make the playoffs. They are loaded with talent and they will most likely improve as the year goes on, the same as last year. Their schedule is favorable for these rough times.
It should be the future that keeps them #1 if anything, not the past.
Although - under similar conditions, Florida State was the #3 seed going into the playoff. If Ohio State continues to play as they have, but manage to win a lot of close games, the Buckeyes will probably see a similar fate.I have no problem with your comment. Don't understand how anyone can
keep Ohio state #1. Top 5, sure. Not #1 though.
Mississippi State jumped defending National Champion Florida State last year in week 8.Well they have the longest winning streak in college football as of today. Aaaaaaaand they are the undisputed College Football National Champions. Until someone beats them they won't fall.
Trust me the truth hurts me too. But until then we just need to shut up and hope someone can beat them.
am I missing something here?I said this earlier in this thread. IMO, no way in hell should Bama be ranked ahead of Ole Miss, as they beat Bama, in Bama's back yard. By the way Ole Miss didn't beat Florida.

K I think I'm pickin up what your putting down now.. I missed that part..Read comment #71.
It is true that history is taken into account and it is a bit of a beauty contest at this point. Like you, I have no issues if Memphis, Toledo, Temple or Houston were ranked above us at this point, zero loses should matter. But these guys are basing there rankings on who they "think" is the best once you get past the first few teams. That said, I don't think Memphis, Toledo, Temple or Houston beats Boise State more than one out of ten times if they played 10.Definitely was surprised to see we were ranked, I know we're a different team than the one that lost to BYU(I don't even know what that team was) but our resume is worse than that of Memphis, Toledo, and Temple who are all ranked behind us.
