So far in the day after a win, there are about 9 posts so far on the Eagles. And 7 of those are about how Bradford sucks.

this is football. fans constantly make the mistake of saying it's early or there is plenty of time to win the division. they fail to realize, that doesn't mean a damn thing. the only goal in the regular season is to pile up wins and secure the insanely important bye and home field advantage. if you can't do that, you're at a huge disadvantage.

the packers are already 2-0 and have a strong chance to be 3-0 after tonight. no one wants to play at lambeau come playoff time. the pats are 3-0, broncos 3-0. these teams know what they want and how important it is. what are the eagles going to do? they're basically a lock for at least 4 losses now. they would have to turn white hot to avoid that.

Here is the thing: Bradford DOES suck. He went 14/28 for 118 yards!

So that is going to temper the optimism a little bit. This should have been a BLOWOUT. Instead, because our offense did nothing, it was a 7-point win.

The receivers admittedly are doing him no favors. Do you realize that, other than Jordan Matthews, no receiver caught a single ball yesterday?

I haven't come in here and said the sky is falling. I don't think anyone needs to be fired. I do think Bradford needs to play better and I am sure he will. I think our RB's and WR's need to catch the ball. We are 1-2 right now and that is better than 0-3!

First goal is to win the division and that is still very much within reach.

Think of it as life advice. This continued focus on the negative is not a good way to live. Take a little time to appreciate the good things in life like maybe the play of Hicks and Rowe and Mathews yesterday and perhaps the GM does know what he is doing. Nice to see the OL play better and Bair do a good job. And he is under contract for another year. And yeah, Mathews missed the one pass, but he came back to the exact same play on the next drive and executed it perfectly.

BTW, I agree on Bradford.

What exactly did you enjoy about that win? Where's your thread dedicated to our win?

Some of us had higher expectations about this team and see some looming issues beyond this little win. So go on, live in the moment and dance your jig. I'm sure Tebow will join you.

So what exactly are you accomplishing by analyzing these "looming issues"? Jeez you sound like you actually think that the Eagles read this board and need your help? And suddenly this is a little win? Against a 2-0 team that was leading the league in defense?

Funny... I wanted to spend the first sunday evening this season the Eagles didn't give me heartburn doing something else than watch/talk about football.

Seriously. I've been away for almost two weeks. I come back and none if you realize that this team is slowly putting it together after being disassembled in the offseason. We are going to get rolling here. This thing is like a snowball and it's going to eat everything in it's path when it gets big enough.

I like the improvement and the defense has depth.

We probably should have given Maclin the Murray money but you all should have known from the beginning that I was right about paying Maclin.
