Hey! you guys still have our Quarterback on your banner...
You have a great Quarterback! The one that you gave us looks like he is hypnotized during the game.
At least Foles has a passion for the game! Bradford looks like he is in a stupor.

Some of you guys crack me up. Eagles fans when things are good and hating when things do not go well. What makes you think Foles is a great QB? He was garbage last week. I will take Bradford over Foles any day of the week.

Has Bradford been playing well? Nope and I am not going to pretend he was. Here is a question for you. Name a player on offense that has not sucked other than Sproles.

Chips biggest mistake was getting rid of our GUARDS without having true replacements. This idea that he can plug anyone in, as if this is college, is going to be his undoing.

Except - it seems - that against the Cowboys the guards were NOT the primary problem, but Peters, Kelce, Celek and to a lesser extent Johnson were the problem. Herremans last season simply looked done, and then got injured. Mathis one could argue with, though his attitude (or Rosenhaus' attitude) was not all that, at best.

I don't buy that Foles was all that. And it seems that Foles wanted out of PHI and was glad to go. So... no use really going there.

I am massively disappointed in what we have in Bradford tho. Everyone that watches the games notices open receivers (5 yards+ open) and Bradford doesn't seem to see it. I completely agree that he is not showing any leadership, positive body language or seem to have any fire at all.

Truthfully, if we get 1 more half of this, the halftime adjustments should include putting Sanchez in.

Bradford has looked bad so far indeed. I still think Kelly was right to take the gamble, but it seems we will be in QB purgatory for a while. Unless we completely tank this season, but I am not to sure there is even half-decent QB coming out of college this year.

To me, Chip had little choice but to let Mathis and Herremans go. Herremans was coming off an injury, and getting old. He was mediocre. Mathis did it to himself with a ridiculous demand to re-negotiate his deal of over $5M. What would you do? What Chip should have done was to trade for a solid G to replace Mathis, and have Barbre and Andrews compete for the RG position. I think that if he can't get better play in the next 1 or 2 games, then he will make a trade.

By all accounts, that is what he/the Eagles have tried for two seasons now (or at least this past off season), and there were no takers. The fact that Mathis was not picked up until the Bronco's found out in preseason that their O-line looked as bad as ours has these past two games.

There were also a number of accounts that Chip had wanted to draft Guards in the draft this year in round 3 and 4, but that by the time the Eagles were to pick, all guards they deemed 3rd and 4th round worthy were gone. So they would have had to reach big time.

I would argue Murray and Matthews (RB) would also fall into the 'has not sucked' category. Mostly because there has not been an opportunity for them to suck, seeing how bad the O-line has performed.

Sam got beat up in St Louis. He has happy feet but give him time in the pocket or roll him out away from traffic and he will pick a defense apart. Give him time.

I said that Bradford looked like he was in a stupor. I did not say he stinks. Foles has a winning record as a QB plus he beat Seattle this season. Bradford had two interceptions his last game but Foles had none. I would rather have Foles any day of the week. Foles is a real competitor and a true work in progress who will get even better in time.

What - last season - did give the impression that Foles would be able to get the Eagles anywhere? Foles was no better than Sanchez.

That is so below the belt.

Foles has not played enough games to know who he really is.

It's risky to get rid of a guy before you know what you had.

True - can agree with you there up to a point. But when looking at Foles when he played - even in the exceptional 2013 season, there was enough evidence to suggest that he would not be a good fit for the Eagles offense. In 2013 his numbers were fantastic, but these were somewhat inflated by (a) being lucky with defenders simply not catching INT's, and a good number of the TD passes where great efforts by McCoy and Jackson taking things upfield, as much as Foles being great. Last year things fell apart for him.

You also said Foles is a great QB which was the comment that prompted my post.

I agree, Bradford does look like he is in a stupor. Based on the way this team has played is that suprising? It shouldn't be. The team has been outright awful in just about every offensive phase. Once the blocking is fixed I think things will open up a bit. He has show he can be brilliant but everyone needs to do their jobs as well.

I see no leadership, I see no fire, I see a deer in headlights out there.

This sums up Bradford's entire NFL career. Should be written on his tombstone.

But we knew who was coming out this year. If Chip had instead tanked LAST season... and he had his desired QB (without even having to trade up possibly) what a different place we would be in, for a long time to come.

I would never respect a coach who tanked. Its not how competitors are built.

you don't just try to lose. You give younger guys more playing time and begin developing them sooner. It will lead to losses by not putting your best in - but it develops younger talent and gives them more playing time. In the end, it gets them ready faster. No way in the world that I buy IND was as bad as they were to get Luck.

Its a quick way to lose a locker room to not start the better players.

The great ex-Eagle Herman Edwards said it best. I like the end where he says "This whole conversation bothers me"

Sam Bradford doesn't have it.

The Jets D is good, but Bradford made no attempt to throw a pass more than 10 yards downfield. I refuse to believe the WRs were blanketed.

I see no touch, no deep ball, and a lot of balls thrown at the feet. He played like a game manager.

I believe i also saw him walk past Chip when Chip was trying to talk to him.

Chip was probably >10 yards away from him so Bradford didn't see him

There was at least the one attempt to Agholor - too few? Probably. But it was there.

He did better then last week, would be interesting to see what the All-22 shows about the deep ball; and how the WR's did vs arguably the best CB tandem in the league.

Also, a game manager against this defense not giving the ball away is a whole lot better than the Bradford we saw the two games before, with a horrendous INT in each game. I do not remember seeing any such WTF-passes.

I expect him to be improve next week.
