If J. Gruden honestly wanted to get RGIII injured, this would be the week to do that. So, for all of you conspiracy theorists, relax, it's just not gonna happen. Instead, we're going to see good ole' reliable Kirk , and good ole' reliable Pierre, Alfred, Trent, Deangelo etc. etc.etc. Together they must find the formula then physically execute it in order to slay a fire breathing St. Louis Rams team that poses a bigger threat than the Miami team that held them to 10 points. Will they? Not likely. This one feels like a 31- 13 disaster to me. My player of the game has to be Tress Way, a popular choice a season ago and memorial moment Greg Williams sneering at Dan Snyder in his box seat.

Aww hell, what do I know? Let's hear from the rest of you. As usual we ask for a final score, player of the game and memorial moment as you see it playing out.

For all the fear that was pumped into the forum last week about the dreaded Dolphins. I liked how the Skins looked against them for the most part. So I;mma let you finish, but I'll say.

Skins control the LOS once again with the run game and Big Al is again the workhorse, but Thompson and Jones both make a couple big plays and all three get into the end zone this week. Hopkins makes a couple FGs including drilling a 53-55 yarder. The Def comes up with 4 sacks and 3 TOs and Jeff Fisher is last seen running off the field like he just shit all over himself.

Final score 27-23, Skins
MVP - OL
Memorial moment - The Skins OL and Skins front seven controlling the game throughout all 4 quarters.

Mvp janoris jenkins and tavon. For us, Keenan.

Seems like either Skins win in a close one or Rams win in a laughter.

Either sounds plausible.

What do you think about Foles? I think he has the potential to be a good, maybe even very good, QB. I wasn't all that upset far as the Foles for Bradford deal went.

I love the trade, a second rounder and Foles for Breakable Bradford, and if Bradford plays eight games we get a 4th rounder too.

As far as Foles I thought he played well last week, stood tough in the pocket making all the throws not the patent dink and dunk by Bradford that we were accustomed too. He made some mistakes but he was playing behind really inexperienced offensive line, whose LT is in year two at that position, throw in two starting rookies. Then there was the 3rd string runningback doing his best but not a whole lot, and the 4th stringer fumbling away the ball when we are almost in the redzone, while going against the NFC Champs in a divisional game. He lead a comeback and won, not to mention the beautiful pass between two defenders(Sherman) to set up what was the game winning field goal.

You have to take your hat off to him for throwing no picks and only taking two sacks with all that. Impressive, Bradford would of folded faster then a tent in a hurricane.

Skins win 24-14. Very doubtful that they even kick it to Austin. KO will all be touchbacks with the new kicker. Garcon should have a good game. The only way the Rams win if they totally fluster Kirk and he throws 3 picks.

Love how you try to conceal the deep rooted pessimism of your DC team sometimes Stymie..."good ole' reliable Kirk", "my player of the game has to be Tress Way". Damn dude, if it's that bad...support a team that makes you happy. Life is too short.

Couple of questions.

Do you think Dan Snyder wants his team to win?
Do you cheer for this team to win every game they play?

and my bad, here is my answer to the question of your post...

IMO difficult match up for the Redskins. Talent wise, we are behind the eight ball on this one. The OL, just like last week will have it's hands full. Maybe Gruden and his staff will come up with a "vanilla" scheme to keep us in the game so we can pull one out late. Coaches have to coach, and players have to EXECUTE.

I'm optimistic with good coaching this team will get better as we go.

Do I think KC is the future QB of this team to lead us to playoff wins? Nope, I do not. Do I think KC is the best QB on this roster to produce wins this season? Yep, sure do.

And, at the end of this game with a WIN would love to see Dan Snyder stand up from his "box seat" and give Jeff Fisher and Greg Williams the finger...just sayin' as a fan of my Washington Redskins.

There's no attempt to conceal deep seated pessimism, it's there for everyone to see and justifiably so. Clearly, you have either forgotten or have no knowledge of how many fans in various forms voted Tress Way team MVP a season ago. It amuses me when others attempt to define what a "real" fan of this team is. Fans come in all stripes, some like myself have been fans for longer than some have been alive and choose to see the team for what it really is rather than what we HOPE it to be.

BTW: To suggest that someone select another team seems borderline insanity for those of us who still root for our hometown team. Sort of like those people who are goatroper fans and have never been to Irving Texas and probably would have trouble finding that city on a map.

Answers to your questions:
1. Given the choice between making money and winning he's so far proven to have selected the former. That's not to say that he doesn't want to, just until the recent hiring of SM, there has been little or no evidence that he knew how.

2. Yes since 1961, but that doesn't mean that the realist in me can't come to terms with the futility of doing so for long periods of time, nor stand in opposition when the organization fails to do the right thing on or off of the field of play.

Taking an optimistic POV is your right, and I will not challenge your right to it, suggest how wrong that is nor based on some notion of happiness infer that because you are not ecstatic the wiser thing to do is select another team that gives you the ultimate sense of satisfaction.

A year ago, I started "Prediction Friday" a forum where followers and non followers alike can share their predictive skills related to the upcoming games final score, player of the game and what they envisioned as an memorial event coming out of that game. Many have over that time frame accurately posted scores that have come oh so close to what they turned out to be. Do you really think that because they (we) see the other team winning a particular game that we still don't hope, wish, or otherwise root for this team to win?

Dream Scenario

Ross or Crowder returns a kickoff/punt for a TD
Andre Roberts doesn't drop a ball
AlMo and Jones run for 200 yards combined
Ross pulls a DJax and goes deep for a catch and TD
STs doesn't make a bumbling horrific play
Dustin makes no mistakes
Capt Kirk throws no INT
Our Oline has a rockstar day
Many QB pressures and 4 sacks by Kerrigan, Preston, Hatcher and Paea

Oh and we win the game 28 - 10 :)
