I'm tired of this standard life. Tomorrow I will have a doctor shoot laser beams into my eyes and upgrade me to high definition living.

Good timing too becuase my glasses just broke.

good for you. I had that done about 10-15 years ago, best thing i ever did.
expect a pretty cool laser light show during the procedure, 2-3 days of discomfort afterwords, a moment of panic when your close-up vision is shot while your eyes heal, and about 3-4 weeks of mild light sensitivity.


make sure you take the eye drops with absolute religious regularity. they control the rate at which your cornea heals.

simple things, like just being able to read the clock-radio in the middle of the night, just makes all the difference.
playing hockey without needing to worry about contacts... things like that make it worth while.

I had to do the 'not touch' procedure though, that is just lasers, and no knives. *shudder*

Thanks for the info. My wife had it done last year and she told me the same thing about the drops. She also said that the saline drops were a life saver as you can't rub your eyes and they the feel gritty for a couple of weeks after.
