Oh, it wouldn't be that hard to show hard evidence of it happening. Whether anything would be done about it is the issue. I have next to no faith in MLB or umpires union to do what's right.

The umpires are 100% accountable only to their association, and not the MLB. How incredible is that, all by itself?

The people who pay your salary don't get a vote in how you do your job. Make any sense to you?

That was extremely generous strike by ump. DDJR was pretty ticked

His slow walk gave Bannister every opportunity to get out there and take up for his team. He apparently will only do it against the other teams manager and not the umpire. He has been way too lenient on umpires this year, this shit has gone on way too long and it will continue until someone speaks up

Really we have to overcome injuries, shit players like Choo, umpires and the fucking replay system. Now just how the hell is a team supposed to win against all that?

I seriously don't know what you do about those last two, but it's obvious. And once again, it amazes me that nobody says a fucking word about it. Not the media, not the players, not bannister, and not JD. Not even our own media. NOBODY. That really is baffling to me.

I present to you the modern Union. Enjoy.

Our organization is not doing right by this guy IMO.

Don, I really thought the mindset would change with RW gone but it seems to have gotten worse

Well there is some accountability within but In reality I think not as the replay officials are active umps which smells of cronyism Their own looking out for their own. Really is a gap in the game credibility IMO

Certainly not our "Cracker Jack" announcing team.

No they are not. If you're looking for cannon fodder to ride the bench call up Smolinski or choice.

Yes I think he needs to make a statement but methinks he does not want the fine. Not to whine the call but to challenge the umps to do better

Ski has gone to the A's but yes, anyone but a player that has potential should be rotting on the bench for long periods

A little late for Smolinski. He save d the A's last night. I always thought he was better OF than Rua

I'm with ya.

This is one of the very few guys going into the 2015 season, who had EARNED an opportunity, via his minor league achievements, to get a starting nod in the OF. A new position, on top of that.

But he got hurt, and we've done nothing but "fuck-with-his-head" since he's semi-recovered.

Don't agree nor approve at all.

Today's game has been painful to view.

Maybe that's why I took a nap.

They are gonna ride Anthony R out. I am thinking this was a rest day for the team with lineup put out there

The entire team came off the AS break (except Prince), full of rest, and yet they need another day of rest? :noidea:

I'm done. I think there's going to be a lot more games like this going forward. Get rid of Magadan. Till that happens, we cannot move forward.

I get the righty match ups vs the lefty if your right handed batters are capable of hitting. Adam Rosales and Rua haven't played meaningful baseball in weeks and Adam is not an upgrade over most hitters R or L handed. This is the same shit RW would do with Sunday lineups, not giving your team the best chance to win before the game even begins
