or, am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous to say the "Redskins have lots of holes to fill" or "lack of depth" in June. Now perhaps in late September it will be more clear...but, June?

If SM is as good as advertized, then maybe by late summer all this talk will be about the players we have, instead of the "holes to fill or lack of depth".

in short yes . no one has proven anything except they look good in shorts . until proven on the field we have no depth and even if all the moves we made work out (which they wont ) we still have no depth

Thus, the theme of the post dad...guess we won't know until the "shorts" come off, and the pads go on to see what we have.

Little uncomfortable with your men "look good in shorts", maybe your having a Cooley flashback?

that wont truly be erased overnight , you may get fools gold , but the truth is this will take time

Amen to that. The whole idea behind a organization run by someone like SM is to build this slowly & - unlike previous regimes - not try to fix everything in one season. That is why as fans we also need to exercise some patience & not expect everything to go great this season. If there is progress & we see multiple players that we believe can contribute for years to come that will be a great start. Just don't expect a playoff team out of the gate (could always happen but it would be a major surprise).

Exercising patience and determining what progress looks like are two very big reasons why this site stays as active as it does. So far the expectations have ranged from near hopeless to playoff team for the upcoming season. One thing that's certain to happen going forward will be very very little agreement on what progress looks like and because of that patience (for some) will surely be tested.
