The Rams are now working on an extension after OTAs, deerpathdave. Yep Iggloo, the Eagles got hosed in that deal that brought Bradford to the Eagles and I say that not as a diss but having sat through 5 years of this guy's antics and injuries and bullshit, I know how you all feel. You can bank on the notion that he will be no better than Tebow's back-up and be out of football in a year or two after the Eagles fire Kelly for his egomanical bullshit that he inflicted on the Eagles and their fans.

I am sure he is as happy to be out of St. Louis as you are to see him go. Sometimes QB's just need a change to reach their full potential. I know all the negative "what if" comments but there are just as many positive "what if" comments and I will hold on to those until his play proves otherwise.

I like Foles and hope it works out for him there. I just don't think he is a franchise guy.

I think the Eagles are going to regret not drafting Brett Hundley.
That kid has great ability. I'm surprised the Packers picked him when they didn't even need another QB.

Trying to groom him long term (like they did with Rodgers under Favre)? Who knows how much longer Rodgers is going to play. And better get the talent if you are in a position of reasonable luxury (without any glaring holes).

Problem is that the Eagles were not in a position to draft Hundley in the first place, with too many glaring holes elsewhere on the team (secondary, WR, to some extent LB, O-line).

I wouldn't say this will go down as one of the worst trades in history, but marker my words Philly fans, you will not be happy at the outcome.

Chip believes in himself. That's not the worst trait. We'll see. The defense should be good and his offenses have been good every year no matter who plays QB.

He was just sitting there round after round. And the Packers suffered hell a few years ago when they had zero capable backups. In a year or so they could have one. And he'll be sitting and watching one of the best without much pressure on him. Good arm to start from at least.

Hundley went in the 5th round. We could have drafted him if we wanted him. We even traded one of those picks for a pick next year, so the "too many holes" statement doesn't really hold water.

So, you are not a fan?
I am a fan of many things, but I just do not think Bradford is very good. I'm sure him being injured continously didn't help.
He played for a division opponent so Seahawk fans saw him regularly.

There's no real reason why you should be a fan of Bradford. Playing in the same division as you guys, you have seen him at his absolute worst. It's understandable not to have high expectations. Though, if you go back a couple years and ask most folks if they had to pick Bradford or Sanchez to be their starting QB -- most would probably pick Bradford….now that might not be saying much, but Sanchez would've led this team to the playoffs if it wasn't for an atrocious defensive secondary, and McCoy taking a lot of negatives plays on offense. Not saying Sanchez was a stud, but he proved he could succeed in this scheme, in his first year. I think it's obvious that regardless of the past, Bradford has much more natural talent than Mark -- this is a scheme that favors the QB, is loaded with weapons and finally has two really nice north/south runners who fit what we're trying to do much better than a McCoy type player. As a Seattle fan, I'm sure you can appreciate the foundation of a great power run game. I'm not expecting Bradford to be a superstar, but I like his upside in our scheme. Only time will tell if it was the right move or not.

I agree with B4L completely. Also, SB was the 1st pick in the draft. Most GMs and coaches love his talent, but he was injured a lot + had a weak OL, + lousy WRs and RBs. Even Rodgers and Brees need good talent. Only Brady could win big with mediocre talent around him.

I'm very optimistic that we will win 12 games this year, even if SB gets injured, as B4L said - Sanchez could have won if our DBs were decent. A reminder, we took the lead over Dallas in the 2nd game, but Fletcher got burned for I believe 3 TDs by Dez. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Solid post Birds. In truth, I hope he does good for you guys. Same with Moffitt. I think Sam has a better chance to succeed compared to Moffitt.
Sam's injury history has really derailed him.

12 wins might be a reach. IMO Seattle wins 12 and is a more complete team, but might have a tougher schedule that the Eagles.
Note though, Sam wasn't totally without talent. many high picks went to the OL. He had SJ in his prime averaging over 1100 yards in `10,`11,&`12. Brandon Lloyd was a beast in `10 or `11 going for over 1400 yards and 11 TDs-damn strong. Plus the Rams are more known for their D than their O. Their D gives us fits to this day and will probably improve in `15, ugh.

Again, good luck this year.

I think we'll win 11 games and win our first playoff game. After that, I'm not expecting a huge run -- I still think we're a few pieces away. I do like our upside as a team this year, but the NFC is rough right now. Seahawks are my #1 team in the league, regardless of their brutal lost last year -- which cost me 3k, ugh, lol.

I still can't believe they got Jimmy Graham. Throw in another year for some of their young players like Paul Richardson, Kevin Norwood (loved this kid during the draft) and the SuperBowl sensation Chris Matthews. A lot of us loved liked Tyler Lockett during the draft process as well - that was a great pick for them. It's scary to think that their offense is getting more loaded, especially because that D will be one of the tops again - regardless of Cary Williams replacing Maxwell. The Packers are another team that will be very hard to beat, especially if they have home field advantage.

I will say this though. I am very excited about our defense this year. As well as our new run game featuring Murray/Matthews. We also have a nice group of young weapons and a couple QBs who should be able to run this offense at a good level. The o-line has to stay healthy. This is becoming more and more Chips team -- I'm excited to see what he does with it.

Hopefully some day Lockett gets on a team with a real passing game. What a shame he went to the Seahawks.

His shoulder is shot....had Surgery never regained the strength....he can't throw it anymore.

Also funny how Wings opinion of Barkley has changed. Prior to this year's stellar (ahem) preseason, he thought the guy was shot. Was it Barkley's gaudy 53% completion percentage or 66.6 (Is it a sign!) QB rating this preseason that has him so impressed? Perhaps a little Tebowmania hate clouding his vision?
