Arkansas State's stadium must not meet the requirements for a Super Regional.Caught the tail end of this conversation during the Missouri State game, but being a top 8 seed they'd normally get a super regional. I heard that they will be playing theirs at Arkansas? Is this correct? If so, anybody know why?

Yeah, I meant Missouri St. It's actually quite an interesting amount of criteria a stadium has to meet in order to host a Super Regional. You mean Missouri St?
Actually Hammon's Field holds 8,000. Missouri State University Official Athletic Site - Facilities
But yes, Arkansas Baum Field holds 10,000 plus. Baum Stadium | Arkansas Razorbacks

The answer is.......
Missouri St's home field (Hammon's Field) is 'unavailable' for Super Regionals.
The Springfield Cardinals (St Louis Cardinals AA farm club) are scheduled to play Midland there this weekend.

Missouri St met all the criteria to include being the higher ranked seed. They likely didn't bid to host Super Regional because the facilities were unavailable.
That's kind of a shitty deal for MOST. You would think a team's post season run at their Home Stadium would trump StL's farm team. Sounds like MOST needs to re-write their leasing agreements.
