And I know Banny said a player shouldn't lose his position due to injury. Well, Martin is healthy and DDJ is playing him so far under the table it's not even funny. Martin looks like a late inning defensive replacement for Hamilton or Choo to me.

I would too, but Banny may be giving Martin every chance possible in the mean time to fight for his spot because he knows Blanks is a bench bound player anyways. DDJ is blowing Martin away in this audition for the CF position.

We lose some defense and definitely some arm in CF, but Deshields gives one thing we need right now, baserunners with his willingness to work the count and take a walk and have smart ABs

Can't really say for certain how much difference in power there would be as DDJ's minor league league numbers at least suggest similar power potential as Martin

Haven't been able to gauge DDJ's arm much, but his defense has been at least solid in the OF so far

Basically reiterating the fact that Martin is fighting for his job right now and he's losing that battle badly
