Can't hit the ball much harder than those last 2 ABs by Ramirez. Whew!

I'm getting anxious to see Gallo and Hamilton together. These 2 are doing damage in Frisco. I guess there's no guarantee but it seems like Gallo will be up this year if they can find a spot for him.

Martin is one of the guys just not swinging the bat right now, Deshields is doing plenty to warrant the time, he's looked solid in the field, the basepaths and in the box recently now that he's getting regular time

Give Blanks some time in LF and see if he warrants keeping around going forward

Seems to be getting crowded at several positions. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Here is an interesting note from MLBTradeRumors.com today.

AL West Notes: Castillo, Jackson, Parker, Gonzalez, Pujols - MLB Trade Rumors

The Rangers‘ decision to designate Carlos Peguero earlier today opened a spot on the 25-man roster and was likely influenced by the impending return of Josh Hamilton (who will pick up most of Peguero’s at-bats in the corner outfield), but Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram tweets another wrinkle to the move. The open spot on the 40-man roster won’t be filled immediately — Klein was already on the 40-man, as is Hamilton — which could allow the Rangers to give former first-round pick and consensus Top 100 prospect Alex “Chi Chi” Gonzalez a look in the rotation if they wish. Gonzalez hasn’t dazzled in his first taste of Triple-A pitching, but the 23-year-old does have a lifetime 3.14 ERA with 7.0 K/9 and 3.0 BB/9 in the minors.

This is Law's mock pick for the Rangers:

Brendan Rodgers

SCHOOL: Lake Mary (Fla.) High School
HT: 6-0
WT: 195
POS: SS
i

Analysis: The Rangers would probably take Walker Buehler here if Rodgers and Tate goes ahead of them, and I've mostly heard them on college players for this pick. Their usual philosophy of taking higher-upside prep players is more likely to come into play with later picks.

You all do realize that last night was Klein's longest outing as he never made it through a full 5 at RR in his few starts.

That and his sparkling .206 BA.

On top of the fact that I feel like he is one of the characters (Scarecrow) in The Wizard of Oz who was needing a brain. He just does not seem to have a high baseball IQ to me. Do not see him getting any better.

I hope they are careful with him this year. There are dangers in allowing a young pitcher to exceed his career high in innings by a significant percentage. He is only 44 innings away from his career high. If he stays a starter for very long up here that is going to be difficult to manage. They ignored that risk with Ogando the year they made him a starter and after that season he was never really the same.

Congratulations Josh, 34 years old and you have just grown up a little bit. Keep up the good work!

I think we can all agree we have met some who never grow up. :)
