I was out last night and probably will miss tonights game as well.

But I swear, I'd put EA on the bench and play Rosales in his spot for the next couple of nights. What exactly would it hurt?

It's way over due for Banister to make a BOLD move at SS, as well as the BP. Personally, I'd call it the same way Banister did with Feliz....."Status quo just isn't going to get the job done."
I don't think EA cares if he is on the bench. He is one of those that think "it all pays the same". Classic example of I don't give a )*%^$@#.:heh:

I truly think he cares more than that, but complacency has set in for him and he needs a real shock to his system, a couple days off might actually do that

But I don't think this is an issue of not caring

Klein

5.1 innings. 3 earned runs. 5 hits, 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts.

Chased with a 2 run homer in the 6th... I'm being "optimistic" here

I agree. Sit him a minimum of two games, and let him know, "you've got to get your head in the game or we're going to find someone else."

Either he shows us the old Elvis which warranted that contract, b/c the new Elvis is going to have to sit over him with me (Banister).

He's really hurting the team.

And this team strikes out way too fucking often.

Gonna have to get used to that... or else watching Gallo K more than 33% of the time is going to really frustrate you. Only 1 Ranger (currently is K'ing more than Gallo would..... Carlos Peguero.) (of the Rangers "regulars")

Peguero - 42.9%
Choo - 27.2%
Field - 25.9%
DeShields - 24.2%

Koji giving up a HR last night brought back some bad memories of his first year here.

don't think sitting him would get it across to him. it won't happen but a very short spell at AAA might have more of a jolt to his psyche than sitting on the bench with his buddies

Gotta agree and I'm a known Elvis fan. The game is as much mental as any played and Elvis's head remains more focused on the social aspects. He's been a disappointment for sure, but I remain convinced he's far from being the only disappointment. Group effort to me and injuries is just an excuse. This team has little direction and to me a confirmed bottom feeder at this point

You make a good point about no excuse for lack of group effort but with the injuries we had and have with Fielder Choo Moreland Holland and Perez is a reason, if not an excuse, for being down.

Injuries have always been a part of every sport I participated in or followed. All teams have um and most could be used if that's the make up. Players get older and abilities change for the good and bad. What did we miss from the guys you listed? What have they done in their past that would suggest we could hang our hat on them doing in their sleep as a player for any season? Maybe Fielder but there was a sign of drop off before he arrived. Darvish for sure but what was that? 15 wins and a low ERA or 5 less wins cause our bull pen was an after thought by Ranger brass this past offseason. Choo was a reactionary move from the previous year seeking a guy who takes pitches, works walks with some pop in his bat. Choo hasn't been much less than what his yearly averages show.

IMO...Potential and injuries will always be a large part of baseball and all professional teams have um.
just an opinion and not meant as a line in the sand

I would point out about Elvis that I'd at the very least bat his ass 9th regardless if the 8,7 & 6 hole hitters hit below the Mendoza line or not.

Im not sure where the underlying issues start with Elvis, but I will say that I think it is a problem that needs to be addressed by Daniels. Whether that is him suggesting to Jeff that Elvis needs a couple days off, or a "DL" vacation, if RR isn't an option, but I think he needs to have a conversation about the contract he gave him and the expectations going forward

The boy needs an attitude adjustment. How ya adjust it is up to Bannister. Hope he does a good job of it.

Thompson has a very good outing today for Frisco. That is good to see.

Gallo and Hamilton each with a HR. Gallo also got a double.
