He would also be bumping one of the young guys off roster in that situation. So the team would also need to decide if some one like Coefield would clear waivers and make the practice squad. Or if Leribeus moses or Long are worth letting go.

true we shall see. i think you are right though , i think he is gone

Remember that it wasn't just a few weeks ago that Gruden gave Chester a big vote of confidence. Will that change? We shall see. If he's cut, he can clear $4M in cap space.

Anyone remember what that baseline in actual spending the team must meet this season in order to avoid another penalty was reported to be?

Here's part of the answer.

Question 1.1
How much does each team have to spend against the NFL Salary Cap?

Answer: The baseline cap for each team in 2015 is $143.28 Million. That is up $10 Million from last year.

Are they ever going to give us back the $36M they stole from us literally minutes before free agency opened a few years back?

Doubt it. It only highlights the 'anti trust' collusion issue for the NFL which only hurts the NFL in the big picture of things. And too much time has passed.

It's why I don't see Kraft going completely rogue over deflate gate either in the long run. But we'll see.

Have you warmed up to the Preston Smith pick? I do remember you were not too happy on draft day.

I am super excited about Crowder, he was my favorite pick. I was not on board with Jones at first but it's clear he can really help this team. A RB that is taller than any of our WRs, LOL.

The NFLPA has filed its own suit on this issue, but they've got to overcome some major hurdles in unraveling a settlement reached between the League and the plaintiffs in the Brady suit to even demonstrate that they get to proceed past go. Snyder could've filed his own antitrust suit, but he'd be bucking a long-standing code that you don't sue your partners, which has only been broken by Al Davis. I'm still pissed, as you can see, and the reference to the $36M was really tongue-in-cheek, but I'm always more than happy to see John Mara's Giants go down. He's the jackass that started this whole thing off.
